technically, the very moment you put out your last cigarette.

if you lite another one,,ever.... you are now a "smoker" again.

my brother quit,,, said it took about 45 days for the cravings to subside,,,,, i believe this is what you are asking about....
some say 30 days, some say 60....... 45 i believe is average.

i just quit smoking about a week ago and already people consider me to be a non smoker so it all depends on if you qiut and dont have any more ciggarettes then you could be considered a non smoker in two days it just all depends.

Well, the next day after you quit you are considered a non-smoker. And if you decide to light up a smoke the next day then you are a smoker. But, none-the-less smoking will stay with you even after you quit :-/.

It all boils down to your will power, if you've been smoke-free for a couple days, or weeks, and don't have the desire to smoke again..
