It could be from a deficiency. Make sure you are getting all the vitamins you need. Especially Vit C, which helps heal wounds & build new cells.

I don't know that there is anything you can do about it, but you should definitely mention it to your doctor at the next appointment. If you also bleed for a long time when you get cut, that is also something you want to tell your doctor.

I used to exercise a lot (1-2 hours per day of hard exercise) and I never used to bruise. I have noticed that since I have not been exercising as much, I have been bruising more easily. I'm not sure, but perhaps strenous exercise will help. Yoga is good for building strength and is a non-contact exercise.

How is your diet? If you dont eat enough or dont eat healthy, your body will start to attack itself. It will take the nutrients you need to keep healthy. Take vitamins and watch your diet, exercise and eat healthy. Make sure to eat your 3 meals and to follow the pyramid for a guideline. My friend has the same problem. She doesnt eat healthy and her body is very beaten up. She holds bruises for 3 to 6 months.

If you are taking advil, motrin or any antiinflamatories. that is normal because they thin your blood out. If this is just happening with our you taking any medication then you need to see your primary doctor right away because it is possible that your blood is too thin and this can cause you to bruse easily. They will give you something to thicken it.

Are you on blood thinners? Take too much aspirin? Move to Alaska or the Golub for thicker blood!
