No. Pizza originated from Greece. Italy just stole the recipe.

Nope, it was a shop in New York
As far as I know from all my italian friends who grew up in Italy,
there was no such thing a pizza in traditional Italian cooking.

yes...Naples in particular (Napoli in Italian)...
in Greece doesn't exist any pizza or similar thing to this...
pizza was famous and well know in Italy since 1800 and in Usa from 1940...
more...in Italian culture there are also different kinds of pizzas(also made with potatoes in south Italy and Focaccia in Genoa)...
