I have small miopia and I was recommended to gor for the surgery. I am uncertain that this procedure is risk free or not.

I had laser vision correction surgery in 2002 and am still very pleased with it. I had extreme myopia and now have 20/20 vision in my right eye and almost perfect in my left. I would do it a hundred times over even if it meant my results were only half as good as they were. It is a bit scary to think of someone messing with your eyes but years of wearing contacts probably did more damage to my eyes than a 10 minute surgery - I highly recommend it.

My husband had it done quite successfully, and so have a number of our friends. The procedure took about 10 minutes to do, then you're sent home to sleep the rest of the day. You have to keep your hands away from your face, and put drops in your eyes on a regular basis, but my husband did not complain of any pain. He was up and around and back doing normal activities the next day. The doctor will have you come back the next day, and then in a week to check progress - but all has been good! Good luck if you get this done- my husband is very happy he had the procedure.

risk free probably not, but has very low complication rate. Lots of people get it done and come out happy. If your problem is minor, you can always ask your doctor to let you work with corrective lenses or contacts till you feel more comfortable with tis procedure, good luck
