best bet is to put up posters around talk to neighbors have them on the look out for her. contact all shelters and vets offices to see if someone has brought her in. if she is microchipped they will be able to contact you but best to contact them first. contact radio and tv stations and have them broadcast your missing cat report.

If your cat has a microchip, that is one thing in your favor. Try the SPCA.

On the home front, my suggestions are;
1. put dry cat food near your door.
2. Put a dirty sock near your door, your cat might recognize the odor.
3.put up plenty of signs with a picture of your cat and a description - but remember to leave out a feature of your cat (like my cat has a nose that's half pink and half black) so that the person who calls will actually identify your cat and it won't be a trick. (a safety measure for you.)
3. cats are nocturnal, so take a friend and walk around the neighborhood at night calling out "Rosie" or making sounds that the cat will identify with you. It may make you feel foolish, but if you meet someone, ask if they've seen your cat. most people are very helpful when possible.

My cat actually came home on his own after 4 days in a snowstorm. I was surprised and relieved to see him home safe and uninjured and VERY HUNGRY. he cried all night and I found myself holding him and comforting him as if he were a 1-yr-od-human. Maybe you will be lucky, too. I hope so.

Our county's animal control has a website....and they list all the animals currently in their care. They separate it by those that are up for adoption, and those that are still on the "stray" list, waiting to see if any owners will come forward to claim them.

Go to Google and search for "(You county) animal control". See what you get.

You can also call around to animal shelters and vets to see if anyone has turned in a cat matching your cat's description. If no one has, you can leave a description of your cat with each place along with your name and phone number in case your cat is turned in on a later date.

Put up missing signs in your neighborhood and surrounding ones. Whether you want to offer a reward or not is up to you.

Go door to door and ask if anyone's seen your cat (take a picture along if possible).

If you find your cat, I highly recommend having her microchipped. It's fairly inexpensive and gives you a little peace of mind.

Good luck!

Yes it is the best thing you can do is go to a web site called www.craigslist.com there you will be able to put in your city and post pictures of your cats for local people in your area to look at. You may also possibly find pics of cats that people have found in your area...
hope it helps....lots of luck to you on your search.

Yes! It's possible... use a search engine to find the websites for the local newspapers in your area. There is usually a "lost/found" section or a "pets" section in the classifieds. Good luck!

Ain't no such thing as a missing cat. The cat always knows where it is.
