you need to keep your blood moving. so walk around, do jumping jacks or something, and AVOID laying down. if you're eyes start closing then jump around for a little bit

Well, not that I actually suggest that you do this, but the only time I ever stayed up all night and was not tired was after taking a 12 hour sudafed. I took it at about midnight, and was honestly not even tired until noon the next day. It was so strange! No side effects, but when it wore off I was exhausted.

Good luck with your exam... try sleeping early then waking up at like midnight. That way you will get some sleep, but can study most of the night.

if your not sleepy now, then study now!!

i know you said it was to late and now no matter how much you study you probably won't do all that well on the test.

caffeine and keep awake meds only keep you awake, not alert.
you may be awake but your brain function will not work properly like it would if you were alert.

there is a difference between alert and awake!! believe me i know. i have narcolepsy and though i'm awake ever day it means nothing because i'm so tired and i'm in a constant fog. memory is one of the functions severely impacted by fatigue.

get proper sleep and study properly. it may be to late this time but next time you'll be prepared.

if you have to keep awake, try exercising when you start to get sleepy. drink lots of water. the urge to urinate will help keep you awake.

good luck

2. You should drink coffee in order to not sleep.
3. You should have an energy drink.
4. You should see a horror movie.
5. You should see an R-rated movie.

Study until you get tired. Read through your notes that kinda thing, if you don't have notes make them. Take a powernap set your alarm clock. I don't know you but 30 minutes and I feel ready to whip the world. Sit on the edge of the bed without any sound interuptions close your eyes and remember what you just studied, things your proffesor/teacher said. At this point I would get a cup of coffee, i drink it like water. So maybe go get a pop or whatever. Then try to study somemore. If you get tired go to sleep it's better to go into a test not tottally prepared then to tired to think. Hope this helps,
grev

have you tried leaving the TV on so that its noise can keep you up at night but try not to set the volume to high or it would distract you from reading or whatever you are doing. but studying till the time of the exam is not really a good idea because you need to let your brain rest and process the information you have put there already. and u can get sleepy in the exam-hall too if u study till the time of the exam.

You will actually do yourself more harm by cramming all night. Your exhaustion will actually work against your memory function. However, if you need to cram it all in, I suggest you study for 15 minutes, then get up and walk around for a few minutes. This will keep you alert and you will retain more information this way. Also, drink lots of water, take a couple of aspirin and keep as many lights on as you can afford. I have found that snacking on fruit keeps me awake while meat, dairy, breads and overdosing of sugar put me out like a light. Good luck!
