Cause I don't want to find someone that only likes me for my hot figure. I want someone to see past the fat, and love me for my personality. I still wanna lose weight though. What do you think?

First... searching with a load of criteria is always a mistake - period. Nobody is perfect and don't expect your future man to be. As for the weight... by the time you find a man you will have already lost weight so the point is completely moot - unless you want to stay this way until you find your man... and in this case I would be inclined to say it is probably an excuse to not lose the weight.

Next if you find the man who likes you the way you are in this moment (dissatisfied with yourself and lacking confidence), than what kind of man is that? You will only lose the weight and gain confidence only to realize that your man is not what you wanted. Generally speaking (always exceptions), a woman or a man who dates someone less attractive does so because of a subconscious need to dominate and be the focus of attention... always reaffirming a fragile ego.

I think you should concentrate on losing the weight and after you are happy you should then proceed to look for your man... after losing the weight your attitudes will change- it is inevitable

This is just years of experience talking and I am sorry for being so succinct... but in my life and friends I have seen this quite a few times. Remember- love yourself before you ask others to love you

Well I don't think it's unreasonable. But I do think you will have difficulty finding someone who is fit or at least not obese who will accept you the way you are, and they will most likely not want to change. So if you are okay with being with someone fat once you get all super smokin' hot when you loose your weight, then sure go for it. But then again, if you want someone to accept you for who you are, then to be consistent you must be willing to accept a fat partner.

I don't think its unreasonable at all for you to want someone to care about you for who you are. There is more to a person then there looks. Hang in there your in the right direction! The right man is out there for you.

It's not unreasonable but in this day and age everything centers around sexual appeal and that makes it harder for us women who have a little more meat on them! You can't even turn the T.V. on without seeing a half naked girl on ! But I found my love and he doesn't care that I have more to love. You will too, just have a little patience and a lot of fun looking! Good luck! :-)

No it's not unreasonable just be yourself and don't let the media or society pressure you in any way and you'll find someone sooner or later I'm sure of it.

I can tell you that its going to be much harder, because physical attraction is very important. Think about it. Don't you want your significant other to be attractive to you? Then wouldn't you want him to be attracted to you as well?

Its not like you have to be models or anything, just take care of yourself and you'll be fine. Whoever you end up dating, you should look for someone who likes you for your brain and personality as well as your body.

It is not unreasonable. Be who you are and you will find someone that truely loves you for you. What matters is how you feel about yourself.
