Its all about money so anything is possible now a days mergers and big company's buying up the smaller competitor like Von's and Safeway first Von's owned them after the strike Safeway's own es Von's pavilions and about 20 other stores and Kroger owns Ralph's , food for less and about 20 other names, so business is business but that will just make all the older Ford and Chevy wort that mush more good question and it could happen will not bother me I am just buying all the Fords for my collections of past and present classic mussel cars Ford Will always be the Best no mater whatever happens they started the mass production and all others followed they, all these car company's if they all closed there doors and just stopped making and selling they will still come out on top with trillions and trillions of dollars of profit the have made over the last 100 years so it don't mater just as long as they make something that cheep in cost safe as hell and runs forever on air we will be all happy and breath better, and that's a happy ending but a fantasy so , time will tell we will see in a few years whats up on the hill, and it will be the car company's no doubt, take care

If it happened, gm would benefit from Fords superior build quality. gm has been in last place for many years, in the quality issue.

They are both American made, so I think it's a good idea. Although GM has better engines then Ford, I would hope that Ford could learn something
