Could be anything. I would hazzard a guess you might be under stress, of which I had my fair share at work, symptoms include:

difficulty in swallowing food and/or liquids possible, sometimes feels like something is lodged in the throat, accompanied with;

periodic dry throat and bad breath (unnoticeable to yourself)
periodic headaches
tight neck and/or back muscles
check for high blood pressure

I'd recommend:
camomile tea before sleeping and possibly in the morning; avoid caffeine, coke, black tea

getting at least 6 straight hours sleep for a few days

plenty of water; reduce salt

do stretching and weight exercises; avoid heavy weight lifting, relative to your fittness

change your regular diet temporarily, assuming you aren't suffering from food related illness

And still alive and kicking after a week ? Go see the doctor.
If you feel pain, go see the doctor, perhaps fish bones ?

there is a conditon called wryneck and it happens to people when they have a fan or other cold air blowing for a long period of time on their face or neck area.....this will make the muscles in your neck spasm...and they can be cramped feeling...i would do light stretching and drink plenty of fluids, keep a fan or other cold air from hitting your face and neck area for a long period of time...point the fan away from your face or use an occilating one-good luck!

You need to see a doctor and go soon. This could be a sign of thyroid problems or other problems. Don't mess around with this.
