I haven't had the money to order more and I've been wearing this set for about a month and a half now.

I was told by an optician that all lenses are made the same way (except for the extra moisture ones or the ones with colors added). Even though some lenses are billed as two week lenses or daily lenses, they were all the same. Therefore, since I am not about to waste something and throw it away before it is worn out, I keep my lenses until they begin to bother my eyes. The minute that they are not comfortable when I put them in, I get rid of them and go to a new pair. I am careful to clean them well each day and I make sure that my hands are very clean before handling them because I don't want to wind up blind or with an eye infection.

Depends on the lenses. I get monthly lenses (CIBA Vision) and I usually wear them for 2 months and then replace them. Haven't had any problems when I've had my eyes checked. I heard from a friend that they originally made monthly lenses to be 90-day lenses, but someone figured they could make more money if they sold them as monthly lenses...no idea if that's true or not.

I've heard about a month is right.

Ummm, do you have glasses? I know, I know, they can be very annoying. But at this point you might want to switch to your glasses at least while you're home to give the contacts more time to soak.

Also, you don't have to order a whole year's worth at once. You might also want to call some companies about a free trial pair to get you through till the paycheck comes.

good luck!

usually about a week. i've done the same thing for up to a yr & nothing happened. i say it's just a ploy to get u to spend more money on contacts. just make sure u sterilize & rinse regularly.
