You are by no means crazy...life has been pretty hard on you so far...but that's no reason to just give and especially give yourself up.i know that any advice you'd get now might seem good, but alsi impossible to achieve, because the pain and the sadness seem stronger...all you need to do is work on your will and self-control.excellent move for getting rid of that guy, but don't pull yourself back by drinking and wasting yourself away like this.you deserve much more.you have some amount of strength within you, you just have to get up and move no matter how bad it feels.try to talk to people, not about your problems necessarily, just talk, to get your mind off.concentrate on your work, and while at home get yourself some books and read, whatever you find interesting, be it novels, stories, anything that you like to read.that will relax you, and help you detach a little from reality.tell yourself when you want to drink "no, i refuse to do this, and even though i feel the need to, i won't, by my own will".you have to be strong for yourself, and for the children.disfunctional families grow anti-social and lonely children.you need to start enjoying life.try to find happiness inside yourself.smile without a reason.when sad, just smile, and be happy for what you have.appreciate it.do things that cause you pleasure.get a friend or two and go shopping.go on long walks.if you feel like crying or start to feel down, look at something beautiful, a flower, a painting, a picture, a person, something that is beautiful to you.try to love life.do that, and your life will improve.be self-sustaining.forget everything that others have done to you.what's done is done.learn from it, and move on.be careful about trusting people, but do not shut yourself out.you have a lot to offer, and a whole life ahead of you to do it.i wish you all the well, take care of your soul, and good luck

Well its amazing that you know you have a problem and that you shouldn't be drinking like that. Alot of people don't take that first step and reach out. Tell your doctor about the drinking, if she can't do anything for you then talk to a hotline - if there is no AA in your area there should be another hotline in your yellow pages that you can start with. Not saying that you are an alcoholic but they will be able to help you regardless since you do feel that you have a problem with drinking right now. Good luck.

You are not crazy. You are under extreme pressure and you are handling by drinking. Please go to AA and see if you can stop the drinking. Please do not drink while taking the drugs prescribed for you. I hope there is a family member who can help take the pressure off you a little.
Go back to your doctor too and let her know about the drinking. If you have a good doctor she will will help you. Prozac is not for everyone either; you may need a different antidepressant such as one that could help you sleep.
Good luck. I know things seems horrible now. They can improve.

NO one of the best indicators of sanity is if you question it. Drugs whether legal(alcohol), illegal or prescribed will ONLY temporarily seem to help. Mixing your 'srcipt dope with alcohol is definitely a path of a downward spiral to becoming an addict.
Insanity is the refusal to accept the truth. The so-called help you have received is only assisting you in your potential denial.
Sometimes life gets tough(stick it out this is often the sing of better things to come, if your worthy) the only thing crazy would be turning to substance dependence.

You need to stop drinking. Go to an AA meeting. All you have to have is a desire to not drink anymore. If you don't stop drinking everything in your life will get MUCH worse....including losing your children. The antidepressants will stop working if you don't stop drinking. People in AA have been through what you are going through and can tell you how they did it without drinking.

No, you are not going crazy!!!! You are experiencing a tough time. Cry a little. Suck it up, fight on. With help from us, your friends!Find a counselor, therapist, to talk to...don't be afraid of turning to religion, as long as you don't join a cult...join a well established Christian, Jews, Islamic sect or consider Eastern meditation. Stay with the zanax...have you considered Paxil? Keep fighting to discover the inner strength that's there.

No ma'am, you're NOT crazy...you're handling too much stress by drinking. What I suggest you do is talk to a mental health professional about your situation. With the proper counseling, you should be able to get your life back on track. Best wishes to you, and Good Luck.

you have a big problem. time heals everything. try to calm down and everything will be OK. drinking is OK if you drink with the right people who can listen to you and with who you can joke. and do not drink tabs if you drink alcohol. it will just make things worse. good luck.
