If I was to go out to a bar, store, laundry mat, is it better to get a girl to notice you if your wearing a nice button down shirt and slacks with dress shoes, or just a T-shirt, jeans and running shoes?

If the T-shirt is a decent one and the jeans are nice ones.....It doesn't matter I think they are gonna check out your facial features and stature before your wardrobe and a good positive personality is a winner everytime.

You know, I would say that a little mix of both is the key. Depending on where you are going, each of them has their seperate pros. I would say Jeans and a T-shirt would work well at a grocery store, laundry mat, that type of deal. But, I dont think that slacks and a button up work well in a bar either, its a little too dressy. Try this, mix a really nice pair of jeans with a button up for the bar. So the, you are trendy BUT still comfy. Hope this helps!

It depends on the type of girl you are going after. If she is looking for a clean cut business type she will notice you more if she prefers to dress the same. From what I can see, girls who dress down look for guys who are in ripped jeans and athletic shoes- my feeling is this- wear what you are comfortable in and what you would wear if you were going on a first date, don't over impress initially otherwise she may be disappointed. I would be pleasantly surprised if I met a guy in cute jeans and a T shirt and than met him for lunch during work hours and he was wearing a nice shirt and khakis.....

I would go for the button down shirt and nice clean jeans with casual shoes. Not runners though.

I wouldn't do dress shoes and slack unless your going to a really nice bar or club.

Depends on the type of girl you want. I would try button down shirt, nice jeans and nice shoes. That way you are still casual but don't look like a guy with alot of money...good way to weed out the gold diggers. Good luck.

Try button down shirt with jeans or slacks.
It really depends on the girl.

I don't think you should go to a laundry mat in a button down shirt and slacks because people would think your goofy!!!

Oh dear that's so sad, I dont think it sounds too good to me but if thats all he is offering you then you will have to take it. Why cant he do this one thing for you, I know its his wedding but I dont understand the difference between a suit or a jacket and trousers or is he not wearing a jacket ? In church its good to make an effort even if he feels uncomfortable, he can always take the jacket off at the reception and never wear it again if he doesn't want to, but I think he should wear a suit or a tux for your big day.

I'm a jeans and T-shirt girl. I don't think my man even owns anything but jeans and T-shirts.

Well as long has you have a nice personality and has a great head on your shoulder then it really doesn't matter. But if ur going to meet the rents' then u should at least look decent.
