2 years for civil action for accident report and police report on the spot.

The problem is the Private companies are libel to you for the damage so they will tell you there is nothing you can do for they will not call the law and if the law does show up he will tell you they can't take a report cause your own pirvate property. So you must try to sue the company and or person, without proof which is hard.

From an insurance point of view I believe you can file up to 3 years. You'll need documentation on your medical records to support the accident and date thereof.

I believe that the statute of limitations is valid across the country--it is 2 years from the date of incident.
