> What is most popular Operating System in the world at now?
Windows.
> So How about Linux System?
Linux has come a long way from the days when it was thought of as a playtool for geeks, but has not taken over Windows yet.
> How about Linux against Windows?
Linux is better than Windows in most of the fields.
> Will Linux be most popular, exceeding the Microsoft
> Windows?
Hopefully yes. The problem is that many people who used Linux back in 1990s (when it was not so friendly) have not given it a second chance. Also, many non-technical people esp. some managers don't understand what is "open source" and consider the term equivalent to "free" (as in free beer, which they associate with poor quality). Many initiatives to popularize Linux are now paying off, though. Ubuntu is great for new users. Linux XP ( http://www.linux-xp.com/ ) is good for XP users who want to feel at home with Linux

Linux has very good documentation now (thanks to the The Linux Documentation Project -- http://tldp.org).
Many vendors such as Red Hat, Novell (SuSE) and Ubuntu Enterprise offer commercial support. Recently HP announced commercial support for Debian. They offer customer/user handling, warrnty etc.
Online help systems for Linux (such as forums, discussion boards and mailing lists) are abundant.

Right now windows is. My pro open source ways persuaded me to use Linux. If it weren't for software patents holding back Linux apps, Linux would be king!
Linux is free, unless you want tech support. You can either install it or use a live CD a la Knoppix and Kubuntu. Live CD's just run from the CD, no hard drive required. It's much better when you install it, because it then becomes much more versitale. allowing you to add stuff to it.
Linux would eradicate Windows if it weren't for software patents. Linux with a desktop environment, contrary to popular belief, like KDE, is as easy to use, or maybe easier, than Windows. If you become a terminal geek, terminal will make Linux reign supreme in your mind.
Yet again, software patents hold back the open source development Linux thrives on, and if they weren't here, we'd have a Linux world after all!
For user assist, the help tools with most desktop environments have a good job of keeping you on track. If you need more help, just go to a Linux forum or something (maybe even Yahoo! answers) and ask. You can update some versions of Linux, like Kubuntu and Fedora, automatically. If you payed for a version/distrobution of Linux with tech support, you'll get it! If you're super rich and have Redhat Enterprise Linux, your problems are Redhat's problems.
If it's just an ease of use problem, get Kubuntu. It can be used both as a live CD and an installed operating system. Kubuntu is based on Ubuntu, which is designed so anyone can use it. The only difference between the two is Kubuntu uses KDE, my favorite desktop environment, and Ubuntu comes with a similar desktop environment, GNOME.

Commerical users are now using Linux by a significent majority. With newer distros coming out Windows will get a run for its( really your) money. Linux will never be the most popular because no distributor can afford the advertising outlay

Linux has been around for quite a few years and, while it has gotten more popular, in no way has it even come close to taking over from Windows.

in case you prefer to game and make movies, then Linux isn't for you. until you intend on doing somewhat sort of programming and progression, then there is quite no longer something that Linux will furnish you that abode windows won't already do for you.

i believe that windowd might be up for some good competion (mac, linux, etc)....but i still think microsoft windows will be the market leader for a long time to come anyways; because schools use windows and most companies and homes use it too.
the lead from students using windows at school means that parents will buy windows; in the same way as maybe if your company you work for uses windows and you are used to it, the chances are that you buy a windows.
