Just hypothetically, you don't need to actually believe in Hell, but what if you did die and wake up in Hell? Do you believe that there is a possibility that you may end up in Hell, or is your faith in God a prevention of that? Please state your religion with your answer.

I find it rather curious that all the Christians who have answered are pretty convinced that they are good enough to go to heaven. Do all Christians believe this?

I am a born again Southern Baptist. Yes, I would be surprised to wake up in hell. I believe that when I die, I will go up to Heaven to be with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A am a sinner, but I am forgiven because My God is an all caring and all forgiving God. The One and Only.

As an Atheist, I don't believe in hell. However, if I were to die and wake up there, I would be very surprised. And wishing I'd have done things differently.

This is a GREAT question! I am an Apostolic Christian and I go to a Pentacostal church. I DEFINITELY believe in Hell.
And yes, I would certainly be surprised if I woke up and found myself there due to the fact that my soul is saved and it is impossible for my soul to wind up there!
There is no possibility that I will end up there because Acts 2:38 states that if I am baptized in Jesus name and recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues that I will be saved. I did all of the above and I believe in Jesus and that He died for my sins and I repented of my sins and am happier than I've ever been in my entire life!

Well at first, if hell is as bad as they say, I would probably be in writhing pain and trying to get out of there, and not thinking too much about it from a rational standpoint.

But after being there for a few years, I'd probably start to realize it was going to be that way forever, and I'd start thinking how unjust it is. I'd be shocked that I ended up there, in a place I was sure was made up.

I'm a Hindu.

Well I'm an atheist so I'm not worrying about that. Even back as a Christian when I was searching for the truth, I never felt like I was going to heaven. There's no such thing as hell and no need to worry.

I believe that you do not wake up when you die. Your sole leaves your body just before you die so your sole goes on living in the people you love. I guess you would say I do not have a religion. I follow the Native American ways.

This world is hell and anyone who can't see that is an idiot. Every single morning we wake up is just another day in the horror of human existence. Anyone who needs to imagine anything worse than this world is sick and should be locked away.
