Does anyone own a puggle here? Are they hard to look after? Are they cute or ugly upclose? How much do they cost?

If you mean a Pug - the crease faced dog - really ugly in a cute sort of way... the only thing is they do get rashes in the folds but beyond that - no more than other dogs

Hi Sammy, As this is a crossbreed you will have no idea how it will turn out, it will have some beagle traits and some pug traits. It could have all the health problems of both breeds. No reputable breeder of beagles or pugs will deliberately produce crossbreeds, therefore it is safe to say that the people who bred this litter or "puggles" are not reputable and probably have not carried out the genetic health tests required for both breeds.

I would advise that you do not buy a puggle, but instead, buy a beagle or pug from a reputable breeder that carries out health testing and only breeds from the very best specimens. Not only is this the most ethical option, but it will also cost you far less than buying one of these "designer crossbreeds". Good Luck

I have one... very cute, but since they are a mixed dog... they vary, but have general features, like longer noses, and less breathing problems than pugs, generally small dogs, vary in colors from fawn to black, generally good natured and good w/ kids...
mine is 11 weeks old, she is cute, playful, but can be a little stubborn, but with early training she will be fine (I am already working that out of her)... she is almost pretty much house trained with the use of a crate,
they can be pricy.... i got mine from snuggle puggle (http://snugglepuggle.tripod.com/). I have a toy puggle... they are smaller than the regular puggles.... they are cuties though and loving.... but can be hyper as puppies....they are not as ugly as pugs, and not hard to care for..... they are typical puppies i guess....i have had other puppies and she has been easier to house break and friendly with everyone esp kids....

A puggle is a mix between a female beagle and a male pug.
they come in two colors fawn or black, they are very cute.
depending on where you live the cost can run you from 200.00 to 800.00 per puppy.
they are very easy to look after, the one thing about a puggle is. that they dont have the nasal problems pugs can have.
Very cute dogs and easiely trained.
dont own one. People are trying to get me to have a litter all the time.I have beagles.
you can go to puggles.com and see diffrent pics of them
Hope that helps you out.

For you people who don't know what a puggle is it's a beagle/pug they cost ABOUT 1,000 dollars but some places may have a different price. They kinda look like boxers but less smooshed faces. Personally I think they are adorable, but I like any kind of dog ;) And almost any puppy is hard to look after ;D

My cousin has a puggle(part pug part beagle for those of you who dont know what a puggle is). His name is Brody and he is the cutest thing! He's very good with children and is a very playful little guy.

This breed is going up in price VERY quick though. I believe they cost between 300-900 dollars.

It ain't a breed!!!! its a mut,,, mixed breed,,, what ever you want to call it except a "breed"
Beagle IS a breed
Pug IS a breed
Mixing the two together is NOT a breed

So there, pht-pht-pht

Think it is so funny that every time someone has an "accidental breeding" they come up with a "designer" name so that they can get rid of the puppies.
