Constantine forced Christianity on those in Roman. Islamic law forces Isalam or else.........
Wouldn't you prefer freedom to choose your religion over forced conversion? What does forcing someone to convert really get you? A false non-commited believer.
It is pathetic how people are threatend and coersed into a faith.
I am convinced we live in the greatest nation in the world. FREEDOM!

It funny how history books delete certain details and try to change history. Yes I do believe that Constantine did force to convert. It all depends where you get your education. Pulbic school vs Private?

Someone asked why is it that other religions are not allowed in Arabic countries? A Muslim responded because it is the law, "is Isalamic Law". He also said aren't you suppose to obey the laws of the land?
So I pose the question who wouldn't choose freedom over coerced religion? Is this not a valid question?

We have our freedom now but Islamic law is infiltrating our nation, and I wonder just how long it will be before that freedom will be put to the test.

You need to go back and study history. Constantine never forced Chritianity. He didn't even make it the "Official" Roman religion. What he did do is issue the Edict of Milan which, if you read it for yourself and see, only made Christianity legal to practice. It also kept all of the existing pagan religions legal as well. Any and every religion was practiced openly and legally. It was much the same as it is in the U.S. today.

Constantine wasn't even Baptized himself until on his deathbed. All of this garbage you've been fed by Catholic hating Protestants concerning Constantine is nothing more than lies. What I don't understand is that all of this information is documented and easily proven but people choose not to research it for themselves. You simply choose to repeat lies you've heard someone else tell you.

P.S. Addition :

You added: It funny how history books delete certain details and try to change history. Yes I do believe that Constantine did force to convert. It all depends where you get your education. Pulbic school vs Private?

Reply: I know I will be inundated with the "thumbs down" and certainly won't be chosen for best answer, but I feel compelled to tell you, and anyone else, if you believe the lies your church has told you about Constantine, you are a brainless sheep. You must use your own brain and do your own research to see the truth.

You know, and I'm not trying to convert you, the Pope feels exactly the same way (although he is, naturally, a teensy bit religeous).

I think "forced", "coerced" or anything other than completely free conversion is pretty worthless.

Islam, I am told, teaches that there should be no coercion in faith. Of course, there are Christians who are forceful, Muslims who are forceful and Atheist who are forceful (oh yes - China - atheists can't claim pefection in this respect).

Perhaps its time that Ratzinger, decent Imams and yourself got together to promote respect for others.

You are right about that. But if you are talking about the USA, then you lack other freedoms, such as to make a choice between one presidential candidate and another, who have the same chance to become president but whose political views (on the Balkans, for example) are different from the other.

So... you are "...convinced we live in the greatest nation in the world?" Well, enjoy it while it lasts. Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values, under cover of front organizations like the Christian Coalition, the American Family Association and the Promise Keepers. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."

By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

"Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder." ~ Arnold Toynbee

Actually Constantine only made the official religion of Rome Catholicism, he never forced anyone to convert.

Kind of like the official currency of the US is the dollar, but you can still use other currencies to purchase items.

Becuase like all, religions, even Islam has that's extremists. Muslims ought to obey the guidelines of the host us of a even if in the journey that they contradict Islamic regulation. In one of those case, Muslims are requested through Islam emigrate from and depart that us of a. Islam does no longer enable rebellian adversarial to the authorities. in worry-free words with the help of the courtroom gadget and legal recourse is a Muslim allowed to reply. Muhammad (sa) change into persecuted, his human beings killed and robbed, and he did not reply for thirteen years, nor did he wrestle back. yet, they remained in staying power. finally, even as it grew to change into sparkling that their rights as Muslims were going to stay destroyed, they migrated and left. in worry-free words even as the Meccans persist with them did the Muslims wrestle back. In Islam, there's a sparkling practise that there is not any compulsion in faith (2:257). even if, Pakistan has enforced that's guidelines and non secular minorities won't be able to prepare their non violent concepts of worship. a number of those minorities are Ahmadi Muslims. even if, those Ahmadi Muslims at the prompt are not scuffling with back with violence, yet with staying power and prayer, and through the legal gadget allowed through the authorities. I consider the asker that shariah regulation ought to no longer be imposed on every person who does no longer like it imposed on them. The case with the British regulation incorporating shariah regulation, even if, isn't something new. British regulation has already blanketed some Talmud and Torah regulation. the clarification being, Jews had to have arbritration through the coolest authorities, so those guidelines note in worry-free words to Jews. in addition, if the British gov't formally took in parts of shariah regulation, it would note in worry-free words to those Muslims who needed it to computer screen to them. That, i visit consider because it does no longer infringe upon the rights of those who do no longer consider shariah regulation. love for all, hatred for none
