Don't know about you, but I got on one, an Irish one, and had a blast! Was too nervous to try my first one at home, so I picked one across the ocean. Met some great guys, some of them actually called, and on my vaca in Ireland this month, actually met 2 of them and they were great!! We had been talking for so long (over a year) that when I met them, we just picked up the conversation like we had just got off the phone. Both of them looked, sounded and acted exactly like they had portrayed themselves. If you want to get your feet wet, try a dating site that is in a different country. I don't know if I'll try one in the states, because I REALLY like Irish & Brit men...but, it's an idea. It's nice 'cuz you get all the bs out of the way early. Definitely worth a try. Good luck!

Yes, I think online dating could be for you. You can meet all sorts of different people that you would never ordinarily meet in your circles of friends. Now just make sure that you check out many sites before paying any cash, as there are many out there all with different angles.

well if ida seen this question a year ago, i woulda said something along the lines of what Annastasia said.. and it still holds tru in some cases. but i've recently met some one online, unintentionally i might add, and he ended up being a great guy.. it sux that he lives all the way across the country but i really like him. ive gone to visit him twice and we have good chemestry.

yeah go for it.i met my guy on a dating site,only advice i give u is dont give out too much personal info till u feel ready and comfortable,and when u meet up choose a busy place and tell people where u going.i wish you the best of luck

confident I truly have tried it. i did not pay for it even with the indisputable fact that. I in reality felt embarrassed pertaining to to the completed situation. They misrepresent themselves online.
Always different in person.
Make sure to meet somewhere public...to see if you even click.
But...before meeting, and still chatting online, ask alot of questions, things that are important to you.
If any red flags go up, stop chatting.
The flags will become huge banners later on.
Trust me, been there, done that.

I was rejected by eharmony.com after applying there on a lark. I've never used online dating and now that I'm married - such sites no longer interest me.
