I have an associates degree in paralegal studies; however, I got my degree over 10 years ago. I would like to get a B.S. in paralegal. One didn't even need any type of license or certificate when I graduated because there were very few paralegals, does one have to be certified now.

Yes, you can get some form of financial aid if the school is federally acredited and allows for financial aid. The school should be able to answer this question. However, you will not be able to qualify for federal grants for a second B.S. degree since you have already completed one B.S. degree 10 years ago. Loans are a possibility at this stage. An idea is maybe check with your local community college if they offer a paralegal program in a certificate form since it would take less time and have a solid background to begin with. In regards to scholarships, it is very competitive at the stage where you are at. Have you tried approaching your present employer about assisting with it?
