Basically what the first poster said... I find it works best if the metal bowl you're whipping the cream in is chilled, and make sure the cream you buy is labeled whipping cream (or at least heavy cream... if the fat content isn't high enough, the cream won't hold air and will fall flat or never whip at all). You may want to play around with the proportions of vanilla and sugar, depending on what you're using the whipped cream for as well as your personal preference. Use natural vanilla for the best flavor (I like vanilla paste for whipped cream), and always use confectioner's sugar (also known as icing or powdered sugar), not granular sugar.

go to the dairy section at the grocery store....you wanna get a carton of heavy whipping cream...you go home and pour the amount of whipping cream in the bowl...and then you beat the cream with an electric mixer until you get soft stiff peaks. If you dont have a hand mixer you can use a kitchen aid with the whipping attachment....or an old fashioned whisk...but the whisk will take a while. you can also add sugar to sweeten it during the mixing process....but make sure you use powdered sugar...or when u eat the whipped cream...you will taste lil sugar chunks. and cocoa powder with the powdered sugar to make chocolate whipped cream....or you van add vanilla extract, orange extract, etc....for extra flavor. its the easiest thing ever.

Start with good quality heavy whipping cream, beat with mixer on low speed until frothy, increase speed until meadium peaks. Add some powdered sugar and vanilla. Be careful not to over beat or it will turn into butter

The simplest and most consistent way is to buy a product called Rich's whipped topping(frozen and usually in a blue can/carton in the frozen food section of your grocery store) Follow label instructions- Note: use a metal bowl if you can and pre-freeze the bowl and your beaters.

Buy heavy whipping cream and use a hand mixer (or, if you have one, a stand mixer with the whisk attachment) and beat it until it's stiff. If you want it sweetened, add sugar to taste.

Take two cups of cream, a dash of vanilla and 1/4 cup icing sugar and place in a mixer on 'beat mode'. Beat up to five minutes. Remove with plastic spatula into a metal bowl and cover. Store in fridge up to two hours.
