In a word yes. And I have been involved in two wars (both of which were pointless) so I am able to comment/compare.
He is a mindless idiot, just like his counterpart Tony Blair. I am sure both of them sleep well at night, even though they both have blood on their hands.

And your happy?
What is true is the Vietnam war was won by the Left and their anti war slogans and marches.
The Left is very proud of this.
The Nation became tired and lost its resolve. America set a date for withdrawal, and Our Democrat lead Congress cut off the money to help Vietnam. As a result the Communist just waited for us to leave and 4,000,000 people were slaughtered as a result of our withdrawal from Vietnam. 2 and a half million Vietnamese took to boats to escape the new order in Vietnam. 1,000,000 died as boat people drowned at sea trying to escape to "anywhere". 100`s of thousands were killed out right while Peace nicks closed their eyes . 1 million were rounded up and put into reeducation camps. America looked away and the Peace protesters covered their ears to block the screams. 175,000 Montengards , men, women, and children were hunted down and killed in the mountains of Vietnam while the American peace protesters were watching Saturday Night Live on TV. In 1985 there were still 100,000 remaining in the reeducation camps. by 1990 all the screams had stopped and we could look back again and say see everything is all right.
These are all the things the Professors and the Liberal Left neglected to tell you.
You are gleeful? A Democrat might be elected?
The lessons of Vietnam were learned well by our enemies. Bin Laden said, The Americans can`t take the death of a single soldier and they are paper. We will defeat them in Iraq and when they have ran away in disgrace the whole world will be open to us.
Be careful what you wish for.

The war is not half as bad as the Liberal press makes it out to be and we are winning on all fronts except in the Left Media.

not so faint anymore...

the past will repeat if we don't communicate to the next generation what we learned...funny thing is that's why fashions revolve about every 30 years as well

I hope soldiers learn to say no when asked to do illegal and unlawful things or face the other aspect of Vietnam, soldier coming home and getting spit on.

how about Erin Watada? one of the few to stand up

Vietnam was Vietnam's undoing. Millions of Vietnamese died before and after the U.S. involvement. They have now a reduced birth rate and a negative migration rate because they hate it so much there.

Iraqi violence is mostly Iraqi vs Iraqi and will continue after the U.S. leaves starting next year.

The 'war' is going badly for Bush, but not for the nameless, faceless power brokers who rule this country behind the scenes. Those wealthy elitists and industrialists expect to dominate Iraq and - with Dick Cheney's help - abscond with all of Iraq's OIL. -RKO-

Perhaps we should go back to the draft. If enough politicians' children are "called up" they might have 2nd thoughts about continuing the war.
