Generally, whole grain foods are rich in fiber. If it is minimally processed, it should increase bowel movements.
Foods that are high in processed starches and low in fiber tend to decrease the ability to make a bowel movement.
As far as eating Quaker or Nature's Valley.. I would watch out for those processed sugars like High Fructose Corn Syrup and look for organically produced granolas with evaporated cane sugar juice in them, which are healthier for you by far! Kashi brand makes a variety of granola bars that are healthy and increase the ability to make bowel movements.

No. That isn't true. It doesn't even make sense when you think about it. If female animal (cow, pig or chicken) is killed and a man eats the meat, why wouldn't he get too much estrogen from that? Even if there was estrogen in the food, what would keep it from being broken down into it's basic chemicals in the stomach acid? Why would estrogen from a plant be so powerful that it stands up to stomach acid and it's so mighty it whips all the male hormones in a human and completely takes over? It doesn't make any sense. That would be like saying we'll turn green if we eat green vegetables or grow a curly tail if we eat pork.

They are good for a breakfast on the go. Oatmeal or oat bars in general give you energy even though they come with moderately high carbs. But having the most carbs in the morning is what you should do because your metabolism is fastest at that time of day.

you should eat the TLC bars made by Kashi; they are high in fiber and protein and have about 1/2 the sugar of the bars that you are eating. add some soy milk or skim milk and a piece of fruit, and you have a complete breakfast. oatmeal is great for fiber content as is brightly colored fruits, berries, and vegies. whole wheat, whole grain, high fiber breads, cereals, oatmeals, crackers, popcorn, rices, pastas, and tortillas are good as well. try to eat organic or real food that isn't processed as much. corn on the cob, and beans are loaded with fiber as well. good luck. make sure to drink plenty of water, teas, and real, good quality, high antioxidant fruit juices, in moderation, too.

it is a good form ofd brakfast-think of it as breakfast on the go. it has a lot of nutrients, vitamins, calcium and whatever you expect to find in a bowl of cereal. they get you moving every morning...i eat them like every morning or as a snack after i work out-good, healthy and well balanced.watchout for the sugar content though-it is pretty high-so i recommend the Quaker ones which are reduded in sugar.

They should have a good fiber content (4g or more). If they do, they can help you stay regular. They often keep you from getting hungry too early too.
