ok there is this NEW kid at school and he is really hot and i think he likes me the only problem is that i have a long time friend(guy) and he really likes me and he will not let me date guys because he scares them away what should i tell my friend

Talk to him, first of all do you have feeling for your friend more than just a friend feeling? If not, than tell him that you like someone and that by scaring off this guy its going to push your friendship farther away, so if he cares for you than he will let you live your life and stay out of your relationships with other guys. And if he doesnt understand and still scares off this othr guy than i would just give you friendship a break let him know you were serious and now that he screwed it up now hes gotta lose you. And after so long you can start talking to him again but this time i dont think he will mess around with the guys you like because he knows that if he does he will end up loosing you as a friend and this time maybe for good.

A friend who controls who you hang out with, who you speak with and who your other friends are - is not a friend. Speak up. Let your wants, needs and concerns known. Choose your friends. Do not allow others to make those determinations for you.

if you like the guy then go for it! and your friend should not get in the way. yeah he'll get jealous but like since you guys arent dating he has no say on it. he needs to respect you and give you your space cuz its not fair for you if he interfeirs.
