Mormons were told that they were not allowed to stay in the United States. So they left. They went to Utah because no one was there or wanted it. They worked hard to make it a beautifull as it is today. As for the rest of your "question" check your "facts". Those are untruthfull rumors that cuase hurt and pain to others. I don't think anyone of any faith that truely belives in God would want to cuase pain to others, no matter their faith. Why don't you take a look at yourself first, make sure your perfect then worry about rest of the world?

Joseph Smith was from Peekskill, NY. I don't know where Brigham Young was from. No Mormon was from Utah original.
They they migrated to Utah from NY due to persecution. . Utah is a desert and it was symbolic for them to settle there. A Mormon I met said they are the Lost Tribe of Israel. So settling in Salt Lake City was symbolic of the Mormons returning to Jerusalem.
All of the Southwest and the Northern states surrounding Utah are Mormon land. Mesa, AZ is a Mormon settlement, Northern AZ is full of Mormons and I was told even Las Vegas is full of them.

The most Mormons are in Utah because they founded the state. And before they were allowed to enter the union they had to ban poligymay, which might not have exactly worked but they did.

Actually, I think the majority of Mormons live outside of Utah, but the population of Utah is largely Mormon.

Thats where their founder was from and lived until his death.
So they all flocked there.
Also, mormons were kicked out of alot of states for polygamy.
Utah for some reason didn't care.
