Its because alot of British people don't know their facts. They don't realise that there are also alot of Britons living abroad. If we count the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc, this population of British decents living abroad is over 400 million.
It also comes down to ignorance and racism. The reason why people came into the UK in the first place was due to British Colonialism and the British Empire. India for example was a British colony and the people of India were forced to fight for the British in WW1 and WW2. They were not allowed to be repatriated to India, and were forced to stay in the UK. So we can't blame them for coming here as they were forced to come here by our government.
Schools should educate children more, and make them understand the facts so that they don't become racist.

I am British and i do not hate these people. I hate the fact that there are not restrictions in place to ensure that this country is not saturated with foreigners at the expense of the natives. The government is creating bad feeling amongst the people of this country by not enforcing closure of the borders until the people who are already here are sorted out. How many immigrants are here, have been here for years and are still no further through the paper work to get leave to remain???
They claim benefits, use the NHS, Education system all at the expense of the tax payer....

The majority of Britain's do not hate immigrants. They are applaud by New Labour allowing so many in without controls. They also have concerns that Europe wants to give us as many as possible because we don't want to join. There are many Brits abroad. Most go with money as no other country hands out the peoples tax to just anyone.

The majority dont hate immigrants, they hate all the illegal immigrants and fake asylum seekers that come over and dont work, claim benefits (that we are working to pay for) and get houses when their own people cant get them.
Personally, I think that if they can get away with it then good luck to them, its the governments fault for allowing it to happen.
Most people move abroad for a better life, which is why the immigrants come to britain.
If there was a country that handed out free money and housing, I would go there too!

I don't hate immigrants.
The ones I dislike are those born of immigrants who think they can turn Britain into a model of a country and a system they've never had the misfortune to live in.
Anyway, I have a great idea.
When I look at the white, English trailer-trash filing in and out of the social security offices and the courts, I think it woul be a good idea to have a European exchange scheme.
We could send all our druggies, alcoholics and work-shy to Poland, where they would have to fend for themselves. We, in gratitude, take Polish workers, who are not work-shy, not spongers and who generally seem to know how to behave.
Not only would our productivity improve, our social security bill would be slashed overnight.

Very true. I live in part of England that is not considered English by the locals. Funnily enough the people from round here have a great heritage of emigrating all over the world, yet they always moan about the English coming here! People just ain't happy unless they've got a target to aim at.

I think your assumption the the "majority" hate migrants is wrong. A lot of immigrants are hard working genuine people that are trying to find a better life. It"s the ones that come over here unable to speak our language, demand that we change to accept their culture, clogg up our schools, demand the we don"t have RE as a subject, because it offends them, sponge off the state and then slag us off at every opportunity. those are the ones we hate.

we dont hate the migrants - we hate the system! people come to britain with no history, they can be criminals and we dont care to protect our own country, we supply them with homes and jobs abd they throw it back in our face! claiming sooooo much in benefits and cheating the system - one guy (with 8 kids) was even telling me the other day how his sister is still claiming benefits for a child who died two years age! i work in peoples houses in bradford and the sites you see and the things people tell you (they are all proud of the different ways that they can break the law and sponge our tax payers money - they aren't even ashamed of it!) are shocking, they get everything given and dont appreciate it, they treat this country like a free hostel and dont even look after it. its all wrong, my sister is qualified and cant find work. and i totally agree that we are wrong to move abroad because then we become the same problem elsewhere - im yorkshire and im proud of it, i will always live and work in yorkshire because it is where my family history is. it gets harder to be proud where your from when no-one will stay put anymore

Because that is what they are taught to do by others. As for taking jobs away from us, pfffft!!!! they work in menial jobs for the most part that we don't want. If they do get a decent one with good pay then they must have earned that right just like the Brits living in the US and working at jobs there.

Its not that the British hate all migrants its the minority of them intent on making trouble we dislike as if they live in our country then they should abide by our laws.
