I am in early 20's ...I already feel that some of the nostalgic things that elicited my mood while I was a kid are no longer exciting me . An example is going to my native place swimming in the pond , playing cricket with mah old buddies ... My priority has shifted to my career and nothing else excites me really . Like I just wanna prove myself in a career , Other things like going to a party or a picnic or meet some friends , talk with friends on phone dont excite me... i . I just wanna make money soon and then be happy then make good network of friends...

Well, I hope you aren't a lazy bum or you will never make $$$! You have to be a go-getter and never be afraid to learn anyone else's job and step up to the plate to go the extra mile.

I have been on my own since I was 17. I had no ability back then to go to school like my friends. I worked one full-time job and two part-time jobs on evenings and weekends. I have never stopped working.

I was too darned tired to enjoy anything that I used to enjoy. I have been working hard ever since. If I had the opportunity and a good family behind me - I always have known things would have been so much easier if I could have gotten an education.

My advice to you is that if you have an opportunity to get an education - GRAB IT FAST! Your life will be SO much easier and so much more pleasant!

If you are lazy - get motivated to be the best you can be in whatever you set your hand to. Study and make sure you do the best job you can.

If you are not enjoying life, examine whether or not you are having some kind of depression because now you are entering an adult life and you are experiencing changes.

Money is NOT everything. Believe me. I wish I could have had the opportunities some of the kids today have and I see them wasting it. I am happy but I have to work twice as hard with still one full-time job and a part time job. I can pay the bills, put food on my table, do things for my kids that I never could do as a child. I am not in debt - not one red cent. I own my own home. I don't buy what I can't afford and I watch my credit cards carefully and don't get carried away.

The only thing I can say is that you are at the age to shape your future. Take charge of it now.

What you are feeling is completely normal. And there's a medical term for it: GROWING UP:) lol...your parents should be very proud. It takes must guys (or boys) 40 years to stop partying and have a career (much less, a job). You are starting to realize that there is more to life then living it with everyone else...you might find yourself getting bored that's called BEING MATURE.....if you have a girlfriend and you love her you should think about proposing...if you have a fiance...plan a wedding. Either way you are ready for more and so you should go for it. If you've been working hard ....ask your boss for a raise. Good Luck:) OH and if you are looking for excitement, try having kids...just kidding!

It depends on what you really want out of life. I've had several careers in my lifetime, I didn't do any of them for the money. I did them because I enjoyed doing them. When I was your age I was on my third trip around the world, with the military. I also went around several more times on my own, paying my way as I went.
Money nor career ever really being the main concearn. Experiences, people, knowledge of other things and other cultures both good and bad were. Like I said it depends on what "you" really want, unless you have a family to provide for no one and nothing else really matters but what you feel and want out of life.

it's called growing up, we don't like it but thats how life is, everyone goes through that phase. I'm 23 i dont think about making money that much but i'm focus on my career, specially trying to find a good place to work or star something on my own. I think it would be over as soon as you want it to be over.
