This is my sons first full year in home school and he got bored before he was home school..but now that he has more activities out side the home he is fine with it..My son does the same things that kids that go to public school do..the library, friends house. the YMCA, field trips with his class..and the movies with all of his friends..he has made more friends since he has been home school, he meets kids from all over our state. They have field trips once a month..parks,skating,movies,museums, theaters.amusement parks.they meet at the library once a week to do all of their class tests. so no he's not missing out on any thing in home school but he doesn't have to deal with the drugs the riot the fights the bomb treats in public school..and his teachers ( 6 ) has more time for one on one time then the public school teacher are able to give..

Yes, my children get bored sometimes. However, I'll usually make a few suggestions and they find something of interest to do.
Remember though, kids get bored at school too! LOL "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Napoleon Dynamite" are two great movies that show how most kids (at least the ones I went to school with, myself included) look like in the classroom....pass the kleenex to wipe away the tears of boredom or the drool running out of the mouth from someone who's fallen asleep. My geometry teacher spoke in a monotone voice the whole hour and used a projector, it was sooooo lame...ah, the memories, :-)
Its good to have reminders that being bored is a natural part of life whether in the classroom, homeschool, or at the office.

of course my kids get bored at times, I would be lying if I said no. They get bored doing just about anything, as that seems to be how kids are.
Shoot, I get bored sometimes too, and I'm so busy I can't keep up sometimes.
Funny thing though, we really aren't in the house a lot, especially during nice weather. We like to study at the library, the park, weather permitting, in our church's cafe and study rooms, even sitting on the patio outside.
People get bored no matter what they do, I don't think it is a strictly homeschool issue.

Well. ;-) My children don't dare let on if they are bored...... Goodness sake there is never an excuse for boredom. They have so much great material to study and so many wonderful chores to do..... If they seem bored I can certainly find something to keep them busy.
We are probably not at home long enough to get really bored. There is always somewhere to go and someone to see and something to do.

As some have said, I would be lying if I said I never get bored, I do get bored, but I have no reason too. I have a job baby sitting, which can be fun, I do school {when i start}, I go for walks sometimes, I go to town with my sisters, brother-in-law or mom, I go to church, go to church events, etc etc. my life is busy, but everybody gets bored.

I never get bored homeschooling. I wakeup, eat breakfast, dress, do school, watch my favorite TV show during lunch (which I wouldn't get to do if I went to regular school), go for walk, read, swim, play soccer, write, practice my singing, practice my acting, read plays, learn monologues and songs for auditions........I could go on forever but I'll stop now.
