I mean. We have the Bible and thats the rules. Then Jesus comes along and says "Oh, many of those rules do not apply now". Was God wrong? How can he be wrong? He's God for God's sake. Now you have the New testament. Can someone explain to me how God was wrong about so much and how can the rest of the Bible be believed if we allready know it to be a flawed text.

The new and old testaments contradict each other. It's very clear. Many of Jesus's teachings clearly were different from the Bible. If you know your religon then you should know that Christians say that some of the old testament does not apply anymore. Well I say. If God is perfect then he would have gotten the Bible right in the first place. If your answer to that is people wrote the Bible and are not perfect then you must beleive the Bible to be flawed. If it is flawed, where do you draw the line. How do you know what to believe and what not to believe? How can you put full faith, your soul, and devote your life to a flawed beleif?

Who is the ignorant one. This is a question and answer site. I am not making a statement. I have clearly done research but I still have questions. That is why I asked a question here. That is what this site is for, right?

Yeah Elliebear- I'll get right on that. Ill go read a bible that has been rewritten by King James. That will have all the answers won't it. The God inspired version of the Bible wont have all the answeres. The rewritten version by some King will have all the answers tho. Do you people listen to your own B.S. You will say anything to justify your religon. Let it go. We are far to advanced and civilised to believe in silly fairy tales.

Saying the bible is flawed is like saying Big Ben is a time piece. Many people have a strong emotional commitment to the bible thus they are blind to its flaws and will only rationalize them away.

When Jesus came and died for all our sins, he made a covenant where He is the the sacrifice for our sins. That's why the rules of old testament don't apply anymore, and basically if you love your neighbor as your self and love God with all your heart soul mind and strength then you would follow most of the rule from the old testament. Oh and the reason why God made all the rules for the Jews, like not eatting meat and stuff is because he wanted them to be set apart from the other nations, as his chosen people. When Jesus came he made a way for all men/ women to know God. In the old testament there is a lot of prophesies about the chosen one and messiah, and Jesus fulfilled all those. I hope this helps with your question...

Well, considering the idea, one could know all and be all powerful, and at the same time not act perfectly. One would have to learn how to use the knowledge and power.
God is actually all of us. And in that sense is evolving with us. So "God" is taking some time to get "God's" act together. Notice that "God" is in fact getting it together. We used to have world wars, and now we get crazy over this thing in Iraq. We used to have smallpox and children were beaten in school. People used to tar and feather. Now we see things like this less and less. So the bible was decent when it came out, and now is an old book. Amazing that people are still trying to live by it when there are many better ideas around now. I guess is has some core universal ideals that are timeless.

The Old Testament was written for the church before Jesus was given as a sacrifice for all sinners. The Old Testament required priest to give sacrifices for atonement. Jesus never said it was wrong, He just made it easier to have a relationship with God where we don't have to go through a priest anymore.
God is perfect and His Bible is not flawed. If you really want to know the answer to something then research it before you make a statement where you are derived ignorant.

God is a perfect God. God & bible are two diffirent things. If u start probing the bible, u will see many mistakes & contradictions, showing that it's not directly from God as claimed. sorry, but i have to say it. It is because of these contradictions & because people so much believed in the bible in the past, thats why many today say that there is no God. It is a very sad situation.

Jesus never said that the Bible was wrong. He said that "I have come to FULFIL the law. This means everything that the Old Testament was is now found in Jesus. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. His PRINCIPLES never change. Everything he did in the NT and does today doesn't contridict the OT but fulfils it. The NT says that nobody is perfect enough to obey the WHOLE law. If you break just one of the laws (there are over 600 of them) then you are guilty of them all. Jesus was perfect and didn't break a single one in principle because he is the only one ever who was (and is) perfect. NOW- we can be made perfect like Jesus if he comes and lives in us through his Holy Spirit.

Jesus didn't say that.
Jesus said, he didn't come to change the laws.
Jesus came for us, so we could know God.
You really need to read the Bible- King James revised
version. Pray for understanding of what you read.
Start with Genesis the first book of the Bible written
by God using the hand of Moses.
Then read Matthews and learn about Jesus before
you misquote Him again. Then go back to read Exodus.

God is and created all, of course he is perfect
The Bible was written by humans with divine inspiration
It covers thousands of years of societal and human development, the Old Testament covers the roigins, with amny rules and laws and ceremonies not any more necessary and applicable in the New Testament times
so, don't worry about interpretations and rules in the bible, and don't measure perfection with our own human imperfection
just accept Christ as our Lord,
God bless you

Jesus never said the commandments were wrong. He said that he came to fulfill the law.
The Old Testament concerns--among other things--a covenant between God and people. The New Testament is the fulfillment of the prophecies and the gift of salvation--thereby, a new covenant.
God can change his covenant with people. He did not change his laws. He changed the agreement.

God was not wrong. the laws and the old testiment pointed to and were fullfilled in jesus except the things that are yet to come and they will be fullfilled soon. the sacrifices pointed to Jesus the ultimate sacrifice for us. the Gates to the holy of holies were called the way the truth and the life. jesus calles himself this saying that he is the only way too God. the curtian that seperated the holy of holies from the rest of the holy place was there to protect us from God's judgment but it was split in two when Jesus died it was no longer needed he bore our sins so we could come before God. God didn't get it wrong he planned it the way it happened from the begining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
