Why do women feel they have to hide things when they are in a committed relationship?

Not all women, just some hide things when they are in a committed relationship. And some women do it in one relationship but won't do it in the next. It's likely she isn't being honest with herself, much less you. It's likely she's ashamed of the behavior. We've all done things we're not proud of, it's just a matter of when we're ready to stop doing them. You can help her let go of the behavior that she is ashamed of by loving her and confronting the behavior. Kindly, gently let her know that you know, that you love her, and that you would like to see her stop the behavior. When there is nothing to hide and the behavior is in the open, then she will need to be honest with herself about it. And in being honest with herself about it, she might find a way to stop the behavior.

I'm not sure why anyone feels the need to lie, but just some people do! I have never wanted to lie to my bf, but there have been occasions that I have not givn up all info or maybe just never mentioned it. I think that people mainly lie to avoid a bigger issue...hurting someone...hurting themselves...embaressment...etc. I'm not sure what she lied to you about, but maybe you need to ask her why she lied... She did it for a reason! And are you really sure that all she had to do was be honest...thats what a lot of people say, but that isn't always true.

Maybe afraid of what you might say and or think about them.Tell her that it is OK to be honest with you,don't assume that she should already know that.Then if you have nothing to hide,tell her one of your secrets.She may open up and tell you something about her.
