My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

THE ONE DAY DIET is the best I have found!!
I was 165 lbs currently 155lbs and very happy about it, It took me 3 weeks to lose 10 lbs, the great thing about it is that I feel so energetic, and that is a huge plus because I have the energy to exercize now and never did on any other diet, Atkins killed my energy. The ONE DAY DIET works like this say you start on Monday you just eat 2 Vanilla or chocolate wafers an hour for 10 hours, and all the fruit you want except bananas, they are not allowed, then the next day you get up and fry up the bacon, well on my off days I love Egg Ham and Cheese on a English muffiin, I simply eat what I want, the diet works thats all I know and I love it because I am cheating every other day.
If you would like the web site address email me at
gputtputt@aol.com and I will send it to you.

You really don't have to spend a lot of money on dieting and exercising. The best way to loose weight is by cutting down on your carbs and sugar intake. No soft drinks....drink water water water and exercise three to four times a week. What I mean by exercise is walking, jogging or riding a bike. Something that doesn't cost much. This is a quick efficient way to loose weight and by changing your eating habits it will ensure you keep the weight off. You can spend money on all of these diet pills and diet fads, but when you are done with the program, you have spent all this money and have to worry about packing on the pounds. Losing weight and keeping it off is simple if you come up with a plan that you can stick to.

It's hard to lose weight, and it's not a quick process. It wasn't fast going on, and it's even harder to get rid of it, but it can be done. You can do it on your own, but it's usually easier if you have someone with you. Either find someone else who wants to lose weight and get together. Keep track of what you're losing to keep you motivated, etc.
A personal trainer is a great way to lose weight, but of course that's very expensive to keep up. It helps to be accountable to someone else though.
Weight Watchers is another way people have had good results from. My wife was able to lose a lot of weight, and found that the program made sense to her. Also the weekly weigh-in and meeting with other people with the same goal was very helpful in getting her going and keeping her motivated. Basically the idea is to control portion sizes, and be aware of what is in the food you're eating.
Good luck, and don't give up.

Forget all those ridiculous diets out there. Plain simple, control the calorie intake. Eat Special-K cereal two times a day and a very sensible dinner (by sensible I mean cut your normal portion in half) and excerise.
This goes without saying, but no sweets.

follow this and you can't go wrong.
you won't starve to death and the weight will stay off.
also you'll be moderately exercising which is all you really need.
keep hydrated also and remember to moderate those sweets, processed foods and sodas and sugary juice drinks.
:D
by the way this isn't a FAD diet that promises you anything. it's a diagram of what you are required to eat on a daily basis to get the minerals and vitamins you need and to keep that weight off.
and you won't have to starve or give up any of the foods you enjoy.

It has been a continuous struggle for me and the only thing that works is walking/jogging 3 miles a day. It is not as bad as it seems when you hear it. Once you do it you will see. Really, it is the only thing that works. I also cut down on carbs. I didnt get rid of carbs but I did limit the intake. No sweets of course.

marilu henner wrote a series of books that's helped me a lot: no sugar, no dairy, no oil. break a sweat 10 minutes every day at least. eat fruit without anything else. don't eat meat and carbs together unless you have a legume to change the chemistry so it's easier to digest.
eat vegetables with anything but fruit.
also there's a book called live right for your type --based on blood types. it tells the best foods to eat and the best exercise for you. it's helped me SO MUCH.
best of luck to you.
