I tried to look it for you cause I have never heard of it before. Could just be a rumor started from some crazy person who tripped on acid too many times and was having some wacked out flash back of the number 27.

Some websites.
Personally, I've never heard of that... and I'm skeptical when it comes to things like this, because we can pretty much find links to anything we want - so long as we try hard enough! So, maybe we should put some of that same effort and energy into something more useful!.

It is but human nature to search for patterns even where none exist. We attempt to impose a gestalt on randomness because chaos is difficult to comprehend, hence our fascination with recurrent themes. We feel something of great import is going on if a particular number comes up time and again, and we are unsettled by it.
And yet, it's all randomness.

Did you know that walking under a ladder is bad luck, or that letting a black cat walk infront of you is extremely bad luck? Did you also know that if a frog enters your house without your knowledge(you putting him in there) and you find him your family will be blessed? They are all superstitions, and this number is among them.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of stupid shiat in my life.
This one is mostly because of Cobain, Joplin, and Hendrix. But no one points out that they were all depressed drug addicts who wouldn't have lived past 35 anyway.
