Its not the age gap that matters, unless any one under 18 with anyone over 18,its all a matter of mental maturity. I've met some young 20 year olds and some older 20 year olds

If the girl's 21 and the guy's 26, then they're actually the same age (maturity), and it should work fine. If it's the other way around then it's more like a 26 year old dating a 16 year old and that most likely won't. But then again, it depends on how bad you both want it to work.

It depends on who is what. If the man is 21 and the woman is 26, then yes... too much of an age gap. Guys don't mature as fast as women. Take it from a 26 yr old who's dating a 24 yr old! Sometimes it drives me nuts! If the woman is 21 and they guy is 26... that's perfect!
Good luck!

What is age but a number. There is nothing wrong with it at all, if they really like each other then it shouldn't matter at all how old they are. They are both adults so they can make their mind up about who they want to date. 5 years isn't a big deal.

NO! I'm 30 and my boyfriend is 35 going on 36. You could not have told me that was his age when I first met him he act's like he's my age or younger. We get along beautifully! He has showed me quite a few things as well as I still show him "ALOT!" of things! I use to be scared to mess with guys that much older then me, but when I met him um!um!UM!(smile) The best thing that could have happened to me! So nah! You two are actually a pertty go gap! It 'll work just fine!

No way.. why would that be an issue?? I am dating someone who is 5 years older than me and everything is working out just fine. You both are in your 20's.. I don't see why age should matter in a situation like yours.

My goodness I hope not. It will come as a terrible shock to my wife of 31 years that we should have to part company now because the age gap between us is just too significant for the work.

Oh, well, come to think of it, the shock will probably fall more heavily upon me than her. She could probably do better--at least I have long thought so.

I dont believe that is a big difference that it wouldnt work out...i dont believe that age really has any effect on a relasonship...If you's are in love and every thing is working out then go for it..stay with each other do becuz you love each other rather then wondering about age or what other people think

No, it's not too big of an age gap for things to work. My parents are seven years apart and they've been married for thirteen years now.

definitely not. but it really depends on the individuals and the level of maturity, common goals, etc. if i were to assume anything about this scenario, it would be that the 21-year-old is a tad on the immature side, but then i could be wrong. age isn't a factor overall though. if you can find someone who makes you happy, you're ahead of the game!!!
