I totally disagree. My father was hypoglycemic and knew it. I was diagosed at age 42 and probably had been since birth, but did not know it. I do believe the genes can be transmitted, however, hypoglycemia is not a disease, it is a disorder that results from an overproduction of insulin. Insulin overproduces naturally to help make a baby, so despite your having it during pregnancy, it is not absolute your son inherited it from you.

No, this is not a condition transmitted genetically. However, hypoglycemia can be a precursor to diabetes. The doctor can take a blood sample for an AC1 test, which tracks blood sugar levels over a 3 month time span.

It's not uncommon for women to get Gestational Diabetes. Basically you experiences swings in your blood sugar (like Diabetics do), but once the pregnancy is over your body returns to normal. Your baby cannot inherit this.
