Probably. Others will want to attend and it takes a couple days notice to prepare everything. Unless, everyone is already there.

Babe, I am so sorry to hear that. :(
If your family wants to have the funeral on Wednesday, go ahead and do it...it is possible to get everything ready on time. My grandparents' funerals were both held two days after their deaths....my grandma just passed away a month ago on a Thursday, and we had her service that Saturday morning. My family is very fast-moving, and it just isn't in our nature to sit around and do nothing, so that type of schedule worked well for the way our family works.
That being said, it does get a little rushed preparing an entire funeral in 2 days. I have a large family, so we were able to delegate things pretty well, but don't feel like you need to hurry the process along...give yourself time to grieve, and hold the funeral at a time that works best for your entire family. Looking back, it might have been nice to have some more time before my grandparents' funerals to get everything ready.
Basically, my answer is really yes AND no....if you want to have the funeral on Wednesday, you should be able to do that with no problem....but if you feel like you want more time, hold the service off until later.
My thoughts and prayers are with you...please take care of yourself.

Absolutely not. Many people these days are only layed out one day and have a memorial service the same day and bury them...all the day after they died.
Normally though only layed out one day - and buried the next day. That's pretty standard now.
If you have family that needs (and wants) to come in from out of state, you might want to extend to a 2 days to be layed out and (on very VERY rare occasions 3..but that is very rare) and bury the 4th day...but funerals are expensive - and families have to do the best they can....also some just don't want to prolong the funeral - it's not fitting with the way the want to grieve.

That shouldn't be a problem unless there are many relatives from out of town who wouldn't be able to get to the funeral in that time frame.

My condolences to you and your family. No, it's not too soon. The funeral can be held the next day even if desired and the director can accomodate. Again, my condolences.

Depends on who might attend. If there are people from far distances who will attend you should give them a couple of extra days to make travel arrangements.

My condolences. I hope that he didn't suffer. It's going to be alright. Just try to remain strong for your family's sake. Because if your Aunt is still alive, she's going to need you and your family to be there for her.
Take care of yourself!
