My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

What you want to do is count calories. There is a web site called calorie-count.com The trick is to expend more calories that you consume. Once you do that, regardless to if you exercise or not, you will loose weight. You will loose even more of course if you do exercise.
Try putting yourself on a 1200-1500 calorie a day regimen. You would then be burning more than you consume and therefore loosing weight. In order to be successful at this you have to keep count of the calories that you eat and don't exceed your limits. Remember, calories are in every thing you eat and drink. They all count unless it is a diet soda or something made with a sugar substitute.

Do not diet!
Diets fail, and if they work.. you'll gain the weight back within 2 years. It's proven.
Smaller portions, stay away from salts and lots of sugars, excercise, drink 8 glasses of water a day, no soda, no junk food, don't eat late at night, don't skip breakfast.
I had the exact same problem. I used to weigh 135 and now i'm around 165... in 12 months! I'm working on changing my way of life to the changes my body made.. it definately might not have been your fault you gained the weight.. bodies change!

Well for me, during my dieting and exercising regimine, I started using hoodia but only the real deal. There are a lot of fakes out there. I use it as an appetite supressant. It works for me. ALthough you should contact your Dr. for any type of drug or herbal medicine just to be safe. Hoodia does not have any side effects, no caffine, or ephedra. .. it was used by the south africans on their hunting ventures to steer away hunger and thirst for thousands of years. 50 pounds is an awful lot of weight to gain in just two years... get checked out by a doctor first just to make sure you don't have any underlying medical issues that caused you to gain that much...
If everything checks out okay, try not dieting at all at first. Diets are hard to stick with and can cause feelings of guilt when you cheat... These guilt feelings then often times lead to binge eating..
Try increasing your activity level first... Walk every chance you get... find spare time to go to the gym and try different activities and try to have fun with them... The more active you are the more calories you burn and the less free time you have to eat...

well dont do diets, just cut down on portion size and burn more calories through exercise than in eating, that way you'll lose weight. just count your calories ;)
