I managed to get my dog to stop barking by using a rattle bottle. This is a small plastic bottle half-filled with gravel or small stones and lid back on tight. When the dog is barking go over to her with the bottle in your hand (don't rattle it on the way) and shake it once above her head, saying NO in a firm voice as you do so. You have to keep doing this over and over until she learns. Only ever shake the bottle at her once - don't shake it several times as she will get used to it. It's quite noisy and shocks her into stopping. A couple of days of doing this should do the trick.

You have several options. There is a company called "No Bark" that will come in and train your dog to be quiet, using a variety of methods, but they come to your home so you can watch everything they do.
Or, you could use a low voltage shock collar. Nowadays, they are made to startle the dog, not hurt it. Follow the directions.
I would recommend the dog trainer method, since it will be guaranteed. Shock collars may not work on poodles due to the high energy, or the reason she is barking. Is she being very protective?
A good old fashioned obedience course may also set her on the right track to listen.

You should be glad that your puppy barks. First realize that she is a doggie and doggies bark just like people talk. You are going to have to accept this fact. However, there are times when you won't want her to bark. For these times, you MUST TEACH HER by SPEAKING GENTLY BUT FIRMLY AND NOT HITTING OR YELLING. IF YOU DO EITHER OF THESE THINGS, SHE WILL BE AFRAID OF YOU. Simply tell her "No" in a quite soft voice. Keep at this and she will eventually stop. Dogs are smart and they learn by repetition just like people do.

Well you can squirt your dog (with a spray bottle filled with water) every time you hear your dog bark. Eventually she will get the point.
Otherwise you can go to the vet and get the dog's vocal cords cut (my aunt had to do this with her min pin since nothing was working to stop barking, and she had a neighbor that was complaining).

if you want to learn how to take control of your dog, I would advise you to watch the show called "The Dog Whisperer" on the National Geographic channel (assuming you live in the U.S.)
Cesar Millan aka "The Dog Whisperer" will help you rehabilitate your pet.
Watch the show and you will learn what are the thing you need to do to prevent your pet from barking at everything.

first we see what she is barking at. this determins if she is barking at something approprate(ie a doorbell ect before just telling her to stop that way she knows that she is barking at something appropate we tell her good girl then say stop). if it something in approprate we just tell her to stop barking is she doesn't stop we have a water bottle we use. after a few time of the water bottle she has learned to stop barking when we say stop.
