They are fighting with basic weapons and putting the hurt on the most powerful country in the world. They fight for free and know they are fighting for a good cause. Does anyone else admire their fighting spirt?

There's nothing wrong with admiring anyone.
You can admire Wagner's music, even though he was a nazi.
You can admire Hitler's ability to influence a crowd, even if you're disgusted by what he did with that ability.
As for the insurgents, yes, you can admire their courage and fighting spirit, even if you can't stand their cause.

Why is it that we don't 'admire' what those 'evil' insurgents are doing because we don't understand their motivation or purpose?
Yet, we 'admire' what George W. Bush does because he tell us he's fighting these insurgents to bring democracy to Iraq! Bull!!!
Bush is fighting in Iraq because his family has a personal vendetta against Hussein and because Dick Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon buddies can get richer and richer and richer.
The insurgents are just trying to protect their way of life. While we may not understand that, and may not agree with it, they're as much entitled to their ways are we are to ours.
P.S. If Bush truly believes the U.S. is there only to bring democracy to Iraq, then why isn't he invading all the other dictatorships ruled by evil despots? Answer: those other dictatorships have no easily-accessible OIL.
If Bush truly believes we'll leave Iraq by 2009, why is the U.S. building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre plot in downtown Baghdad?
If Bush really isn't interested in OIL, why is he plotting to go to war against Iran? Yes, it will happen within ten months or less, as soon as he can figure out a plausible excuse that all those conservative ditto heads will believe ("weapons of mass destruction" won't work this time!). We're going to invade Iran for the same reason we invaded Iran: vast, rich fields of easily-accessible OIL.
The insurgents are fighting to keep the greedy, selfish, evil, corrupt, arrogant Americans from taking over their country and plundering all their OIL - the only resource they have. But Americans constitutes only 5% of the global population and yet squander more than 55% of the Earth's resources. We're a disposable society that wants more and more and more with no regard for the rest of the world. Why shouldn't the insurgents be 'admired' for standing up against such a big bully? -RKO-

How many times have you asked this same question?? Man, you're pathetic. I use the word "man" loosely too. Only someone like you could expect terrorists and insurgents to be admired. I tell you what....since you like them so much, go over there and live with them. Become one of them. I'd sincerely hope that every military man on here would take aim at you. Get a life and move on. It's nobody's fault but yours that you couldn't make a life of it.

1. They behead unarmed innocents in captivity.
2. They rationalize the slaughter of children.
3. They fight like cowards using IEDs, hiding behind civilians and wear common clothing.
4. They kill hundreds of their own innocent people in the mere hopes to kill just one American warrior.
5. They shoot/harm aid workers (relief societies, red cross/crescent)
Nope.
I don't think it's okay. Unless of course you're a murderous thug with no regard for innocent non-combatant human life, disregard for the rights of individuals to be free, a coward that hides behind others to fight or a lunatic - then I suppose you can think it's okay.

They are bushwackers and terrorists. Now if they fought face to face I would be impressed. Any jerkoff can plant a roadside bomb and blow up stuff. Would you admire the KKK when they blew up a church, it was basically the same thing.
