My suggestion would be to say one from your heart and direct it to Jehovah God through his Son, Christ Jesus. Note what the Bible says about saying certain prayers over and over:
Matthew 6:7 -Â But when praying, do not say the same things over and over again, just as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words.

If you believe in prayer, I would think an original one to be more effective than a manufactured one. Best of luck to the cancer patient, at any rate.

A variation on Footprints; Jesus can be substituted for the Spirit.
One night a person had a dream.
They dreamed they were walking along the beach with the great spirit…
Across the sky flashed scenes from their life.
For each scene, they noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to them, and the other to the great spirit.
When the last scene of their life flashed before them,
they looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
They noticed that so many times along the path of their life
there was only one set of footprints.
They also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of their life
This really bothered them and they questioned the great spirit about it:
"Great Spirit, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that, during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand, why, when I needed you most ,
.... you would leave me?"
The Great spirit spoke softly and replied:
"My child, My precious little one, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I think a really special prayer would be one straight from your heart and that way its personalised as well.
I wish her all the luck in the world.
Keep your chin up.

I am Catholic...
St. Peregrine is the patron Saint of those with cancer. I don't know any prayers involving this Saint, but you could ask for his intercession.
Also...do a search for him on the web
Hope this helps...

Muslim dua (prayer for sick person)
Azhibil ba'sa rabban naas washfi. Antash shaafee. Laa shifaa-a illaa shifaa-uk. Shifaa-al laa yughaa diru saqamaa
O Allah, Lord and Sustainer of mankind, remove his/her difficulty and cure him/her. You are the only One who cures. There is no cure but Yours. Grant such (complete) cure that leaves no trace of illness.
