Nobody but you can dictate what you "like".
That type's not my thing, but to each his/her own.

Absolutely not! Shows there isn't a "generation gap" in your family! { at least in music anyway!} My daughter and I are the same way and she's 30! I went to many "Hard Rock" concerts with her and enjoyed every one! Yeah! Like somebody said, Rock on!

Nothing wrong with that at all. If you are listening to it for his sake then "yes" that's not right, but hey!, if you both enjoy it right on. My 7 and 9 year old listen to the same stuff I do. Everything from Pink Floyd to AC DC and I think it's excellent. We all share

Don't think there is anything wrong with it. You probably listened to it when he was growing up and he learned to like it. My sons(now 26 & 28) both listened to music from the 1960's as they were growing up and will listen to it now because it's normal to them. They have learned to like other music also.

My 11 year old daughter & I have the same taste in music - don't see anything wrong with it - she also likes the same type of music as her dad - makes the household run smoothly when you all sort of meet in the middle

There is absolutley nothing wrong with that. If you like oldies and so did he would there be anything wrong with that? Take it as a way to bond with one another. Go to a concert together or something.

It's normal to like the same music. You probably influenced him in some way, just like I have mine. I listen to punk, my kids listen to punk. I don't force them to but it's what they have grown up hearing.

my mom used to listen to hip-hop with me when I went through that phase - she'd even bust a move or two...
A bit scary now that I think back on it... lol
Naw, I don't think there's nothing wrong with it.
