I've heard that if they can hold their urine during a nap, then they are showing enough control to begin potty training. If your daughter isn't wetting thru the night, then you're even more ahead of the game!

I'm a little jealous, my daughter is also 15 months. I would be ecstatic if we could get her to communicate with us when she has a dirty diaper. She'll go right to her changing table if we say let's change your diaper, but it would be nice to know she pooped without having to smell her all the time.

There are many books for children about potty training. I would suggest getting one and start reading it to your daughter as well. Good luck!

I have a boy that is 2-1/2 and he is sometimes dry through the night, sometimes not. They say that when they can go all night without wetting it's a sign they are ready, but there are some other factors that tell if a child is ready. Maybe you can do what I do, and the mornings when she wakes dry, put her on the potty right away and praise her after she goes. I think at 15 months old they are too young to really understand and communicate properly about going potty, but all you can do is try. I know people that claim that they knew of kids potty trained at that age or younger, but I've yet to know anyone personally myself. She should have a 15 month check up, so maybe talk to the doc then.

I have potty-trained 2 boys. I would start by getting a potty seat and putting her on it when she wakes up in the morning and then several times a day. Have books in the bathroom. I also had a reward system and that worked really well. If she freaks, then put it off for a while. There is no rush, and remember she is still a baby. Good Luck!!

I started at about 15 months she will let you know the best way is to just try it but never get mad at her or she will be afraid to go to the potty and if she isn't ready u will know don't push it it will come

first thing in the morning. Shes doing it herself if she isn't going in the night so take advantage of it and put her on the potty first thing in the morning.

wait until at least 2 or 21/2 when they can understand and respond. 15 months is probably too young for it to stick.
