Most dogs will howl at high pitched noises. It hurts their ears (they have super sensitive hearing) so they will try to cover up the noise with their own howling (that sounds better to them)

My dog does the same thing. He whines along with who ever gets to singing really loud. They (vet) told me that it was the way dogs act when-ever something hurts their ears. Watch him the next time you here a fire-truck go by. It is their ears that hurt, not something physically bad. But never-the-less its wrong to do it just for fun, now since you know.

are Dogs have very sensitive ears...that's why they hear a dog whistle and we don't. The pitch of the whistle is so high, only they can hear it...Dogs howl and whine when their ears are hurting...that's why when they hear a siren, they howl...please don't stress your dog out for pleasure...that's not very humane...

Because you nit wit, dogs have very sensitive hearing and it is very hard on the dog when you create that high pitched noise.
Unless you stop what you are doing your dog will grow to hate you and your brothers and never come to you.
STOP being Stupid and give your dog the love it deserves.

Don´t believe the stupid emotional pseudoromantic dumbasses.
A dog is an animal with certain instincts.Howling is a way of
communication within the pack or to let other packs know.WE are here. You´re not hurting the ears. That´s stupid as stupid can be.

See the attached article on dogs' hearing. Your dog may be howling because your screech may hurt.

My dogs also does this, I don't know why, maybe the noise annoys him, but wild dogs all do it together, so maybe it's a pack thing and he's acting as if he were part of your pack.
