Are you all seeking the approval of the firm believers. I believe in the Lord and I also believe in the Bible and I try to live by it. I practice the 10 commandments and I know where to find them in the Bible. I pray and I worship. If we offend you Non-Believers so much why on earth do you all prowl arond this section and put us down? Wouldn't the simple thing to do is maybe pick another section and discuss what you all DO NOT belive in? I really like to answer questions that true believers have and feel like you all just try to push your non-beliefs upon them...

**there is a section marked "OTHER" society and culture which would probably be more appropiate for the Non-Believers...

And see what I mean, as soon as a Non-Believer reads this I get a thumbs down, what a pity, it's just they are wanting acceptance so bad it makes them feel good to judge us believers...

GOD BLESS US ALL!!!! WE ARE ALL GODS CHILDREN AND WE WERE ALL MADE IN GODS IMAGE!!!

I don't think we really offend them, they are just confused. I remember before I got saved, I was confused too. I was desperately searching for something to give me peace. When I accepted Jesus into my heart and life, I knew I had found my peace. Nonbelievers are searching for that too. They want to find another way, but, you and I know they will never find it til they turn their life over to God. Satan is alive and well today and loves it when unbelievers try to insult our precious Lord. We should pray for them that they will have a change of heart.God bless!

So by your "question" I can assume that by "non-believer" you mean non-christian? How arrogant are you to believe that only Christians have or practice religion and spirituality. We do not post in the "other" section because we belong here just as much as you do. R&S is not a "Christians Only" section. We do not "prowl" around this section looking to "push" our "non-beliefs" on others. There are trolls of every religion in here trying to make others look bad. Most of us true "non-belivers" as you call us do not answer/ask questions solely for the purpose of putting "you" down. We will not run and hide in another section simply because you point your finger and stop your foot like a spoiled brat. If you feel that strongly about us being in "your" section simply ignore us and answer only those questions that pertain to you.

Blessed Be

I think you wrongly assume that all your thumbs downs are from only the "non-believers". I did not even rate your "question".

Jess girl did you open a can of worms. I'm with you though. I pray and I rejoice in our Lord. I too know where to find The 10 Commandments in the Bible and I too believe there may be some under lying reason why the non-believers are here. I was brought up to love everyone and I was taught we are all equals. I m a Christian and if you ask me my name I'll tell you my name is "Christian". Thank God the Lord forgives and the Lord will accept ALL into his kingdom (yes that goes for the non-believers as well). I'm glad you rose this question and I'm sure it comes up quite a bit but the only true response is for all us to look deep into our hearts. Jesus IS there rather you want him there or not!!

Because questions of faith, non-faith and spirituality belong in the same section. I think you might want to step back and look at the hypocrisy of your question. There are insults being flung in both directions, not just at your crowd from non-believers. There are proselytizers from your side that treat this section as a pulpit and fling insults at non-believers regularly amid dire predictions of eternity spent in some mythical Hell fire.

I'm Deist myself, and I post here in this section mainly because I am against legislating religion into our secular laws. There are many reasons to come into this section, it was never meant to be strictly for Bible bangers. Everyone believes in SOMETHING, whether it is a belief in nothing at all or a belief in God.

I am a non believer, and I am curious. I am most definitally not looking for approval from anyone. I am content in my life. Because I am not part of any religion, I can look at all religions openly. I like to see what people have to say. I go to all the categories and read questions and answers. If I see something that sparks my interest, I will answer it.

I'm here because it's an interesting topic. I have debated the validity of various points of view of the werewolves' mythology from Werewolf: The Apocalypse before -- did I believe it? No. It was merely interesting. I've had rather interesting discussions about the old roman legends. I didn't believe in them either, but they were interesting.

Why should modern, real life religions be any different? An open mind seeks to hear all things and does not hide itself from things it does not agree with. If anything, an open mind favors what it DISAGREES with that what it agrees with, because it already 'knows' what it agrees with. It's in what it doesn't know there is something to be learned.

So, the nonbelievers should go to another section to discuss what they do not believe in, because only the people that agree with you should stay?

Love the last sentence too. Are you so worried that some believer may learn something from the non-believers you are trying to get rid of them?

have you realized yet that this is the "religion & spirituality" section, not the "christians only" section? nonbelievers do not need to go to the "other" section. their views on things are related to religion and spirituality.

if a person thought that politics was completely corrupt and an idiotic idea, where is a better place to talk about that than in the politics section? if i think that the teachings of modern physics are silly, shouldn't i discuss that in the physics section?

atheists or agnostics have a real place in discussion about religion, just as anarchists have a real place in talking about politics or law, or skeptics do in talking about scientific theories. it seems like what you really want is a forum where your view of the world is not challenged. if you don't want non-christians answering your questions, then you should write "to christians only" on them.

Do you honestly believe that any one religious belief (including a lack of belief) is any more or less relevant than any other?

If Atheists were to go to a section to discuss what they DO NOT believe in, which section would that be?

This forum is for people with questions. Many different types of people feel they have valid answers.

when you come onto YA!, questions from all categories show up on the main page. If you don't go to a specific page and just answer what comes up on the front page as new questions come in, as I frequently do, sometimes there are things that you agree with and other times things you don't agree with. That's not to say I'm a non-believer as you mentioned, although I'm certainly not devout and definitely not Christian. I also don't spout my religion off to anyone, though I'll answer questions about religion when I can.

every individual/sect had their own beliefs. i for myself im pure catholic, but still i respect all aspects of religions, believers or not. there were so many sects in one religion i may say. like in catholic-theres born again christian, this is non dominations meaning any religions may join in (it will be a long explanation about this)the muslim-they have also different beliefs and sects, protestant- here in the philippines i attended one sect of protestant and its wonderful feeling knowing the spirit of different beliefs and religions, specially how they interpret the words from the bible. mormons-they also have their own beliefs and i talked with them and we had interesting discussion. the 7th day adventist-a religion with different interpretation from the bible, such wonderful to know them. and another the iglesia of christ, they literally interpret the words from the bible, and if you hear them you can feel the holiness (cuz i also joined three times as visitor to their mass). I watched T.V Binny Hinn, ministries, i salute them you can feel also as if you were in the group and the solemnity of peoples listening and watching the miracles of healing, these are to name a few of believers. About the non believer well its up to every individual, i speak for myself, as i said i still give my respect to any kind of relegions, believers or non believers. If we will continue questioning the believers and non believers it might be a long debate. Respect and understanding to any kind of aspects of sects and religions, believer or non believer. Lets face it the fact, that hundreds of sect in the whole world, let them stay of what they believe in.
