congress is dragging there feet slowly , waiting till they are re-elected in October , then we cant trust them to do the job they are being elected to do . Not realizing the American citizen born here and migrated here alike are getting highly UN-nerved at the entire situation . The American voters need to pressure them now and keep the pressure on after the elections , these people work for us and we have seemed to have forgotten that

Speaking from a legal immigrant's prospective...I think they haven't been on top of it for awhile and since 9/11 they have been overwhelmed with keeping up with everything, therefore it is embarassing for them to admit they have allowed this to get this far. Now, politically they have to be careful as there are alot of companies that hire these illegal immigrants and many of these companies are very powerful, politically. That could be the end of any political career. They'll sweep this one under the rug, pass a couple of laws and look on without looking back. I hope I'm wrong, but that what I think.
