If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate, and plan your diet carefully. Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Sorry to say it, but quick fixes don't work long term.

The amount of energy you burn has to be more than the amount in your food. That's it.

S, the guy who said go for walks has it nailed. Build in some exercise to your day, like walking or cycling for short journeys. Really think about portion size, eat slowly and stop when you're no longer hungry, not when you're bursting (this was always my mistake!). If you feel like a snack, have a glass of water and see if you still want one. Often thirst (or boredom!) come across as hunger. If you still want a snack eat almonds or fruit.

If you lose weight slowly it's more likely to stay off.

There is no easy way to loose weight if you are prone to be heavy. The best is exercise and a proper diet. Low fat protiens and limit starchy and sugary food. You have to plan ahead. Make healthy meals and store them in the frig. Start an easy exercise plan. Walk about 1/2 mile with your new baby in a stroller. He/she will love it and it will help you greatly. Add to the length of time you walk slowly. It will be permanent if you permanently stay active. Otherwise it will come back and with a vengence

I have been on a diet for my whole life, so it seems.. I went to a company called SLIMSURE, they took my blood and told me what food I could and couldnt eat. I lost weight so quickly and it stayed off.. best diet ive ever been on !!!!! Expensive, but so is weight watchers when you actually calculate the whole cost. Dont bother with those diets, cos there are some foods your body instantly turns to sugar !!!!

Always have vegetables on give. Saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in essential olive oil and garlic. Add some red pepper or perhaps turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion-sized containers with the fridge.

You don't want to lose weight to fast because it can be dangerous to hyour health. You should take your baby on walks because it will help you stay in shape and your baby needs the fresh air!
Not to mention the fact that you should probably talk to your Dr.

Eat lots!!! of salad, raw veg, steamed fish, lean chicken, rice crackers, fruit, fresh and tinned. You could have chicken salad for dinner one day, and fish and steamed veg, with jacket potato the next, etc etc. buy seeds, pulses and nuts to snack on, to replace crisps etc. Raisons make a nice snack, with nuts, sunflower seeds are a good option, and very good for you. Basically, choose fat free diet, mix and match your ingredients for different meals. Also, drink water, 8 glasses a day, somtimes you think you are hungry, when you are just in fact dehydrated. Good luck!!!

Swop your meals round. Have a medium sized breakfast - scrambled egg on toast, a large lunch - jacket potatoes with salad and a very small dinner - bowl of cereal. OK so it's full of carbs but it works for me. You will have plenty of time to burn lunch off running around after your baby!
