Little bundles of bacon wrapped asparagus - they are so pretty on a plate!
Take the asparagus spears and place them in a zip lock with a little olive oil and some herbs/seasoning (not too much!), make sure they are well coated. Take 3 or 4 spears and tie them together with a piece of uncooked bacon. Place the bundles on a cookie sheet and cook at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or so and they're done! (If you arrange the bacon right, it looks like a little ribbon on a package.) These are SO easy and they look really great. I got this recipe from Paula Deen's Christmas Show.
I might add a nice garlicky butter cream sauce over some pasta as another side, with some bread and dipping oil.
Now all you need is a great bottle of wine and some dessert!

Real garlic bread. Get some french bread, or whatever kind you like. Butter with real butter, dash of salt on the pieces, chop up small pieces of garlic and sprinkle on(or cheat and buy the jars already minced/chopped). Can also add a little mozzarella cheese or Italian seasonings, bake at 500 degrees until crisp/starts to brown. Not a dish, but still good on the side.

I always serve chicken parmesan with plain old buttered spaghetti. Just cook it until it's as done as you like. Drain, and toss it with butter until melted. Add a little salt and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and voila!

Serve with pasta & pasta sauce (like ragu or prego) Also, they make some great frozen Italian vegetable medleys. They are always a good accompaniment to any dish.
