That's a very broad generalisation, bud.
I'm an atheist, but I still take people for who they are as individuals. Simply putting someone down because of their beliefs does not show a great amount of intelligence. Although I understand why you generalised. It's so easy to do when one is upset, which you clearly are. I don't doubt you are intelligent, but ranting such as you are, does not advertise that intelligence very well.
Try doing what I do: When a self-proclaimed christian abuses you in any way, smile. You have just gained "points" from their hypocrisy, whether they know it or not.
True, the VAST majority of alleged christians on this site have no concept of spirituality, let alone understanding of their own religion, BUT, there ARE the odd ones who do NOT judge others, nor criticise. That deserves respect, regardless of whether I think they are wasting their lives on a false religion or not. Each to their own.
Here's hoping it washes over you like water off a ducks back!
;)

I would answer this but that would mean I would have to to acknowledge that you are doing exactly whet you are complaining about. or put myself in the same lot of those who I do not agree with that call themselves Christians.
I also do not see who one can show love through a computer. I tell what Bible says, and what i believe, as it is asked.
it is never wise to add insults to get ones point across, as soon as you sent a personal insult you have just killed your credibility.
:)

What in the world happened? Who insulted you? I hope and pray to God I did not do any thing to upset you so. If any thing I have said or done to hurt one of my Christian brothers, or sisters is truly regrettable, and I am so sorry. I try very hard to be truthful, but I try not to hurt anyone on perpose.

I don't know what happened or who said what.... I just checked in.
I am so sorry you feel that way.
There are a few of us out here that do study the entire Bible and would never intentionally insult someone.
Please allow us the chance to show you not everyone fits your description.
Feel free to email me.

I'm so sorry you feel this way. You are right in your implication that this person was not acting in a very "christian" way in their dialogue with you. I hope that not every interaction you have with Christians is so negative nor so upsetting.
Thanks for reading and God Bless!
A humble Christian

...i usually don't go in to those discussions/questions.. i've only seen less than complimentary questions asked to christians.. I don't know, I guess I just keep happening upon the "christians are dumb" - or "christians are the worst of people" statements.. and haven't stumbled over the "atheists are whatever.." statements yet..

Hey there...I feel the same way about Christianity. But there's no need to be so violent--it only brings you down to their level and makes you look bad! They don't like being attacked about these beliefs that they hold so dear. If they want their beliefs, let them have them in peace. (On the other hand, if they start attacking your beliefs or your right not to belief, let them have it with both barrels. But the moment you resort to name-calling, you've lost.)

To believe only in one way of God is simple and human. To believe that God is not to be understood, is spiritual and giving of Him. He isn't there to judge! That's what one of God's children would wish. One of God's children would never need to question. One of His lost children might.

Don't let anyone get to you because you know better. Your ego keeps you safe from going out onto limbs so be the bigger person and let it go like I know you can.
