First of all, he was giving a lecture, and recited words from an old dead guy, as most speeches include.

People ( muslims ) are taking all of this out of context. All the Pope did was give them a "reason" to do what they want to do anyway, they are just using the Pope's "comments" as fuel for the fire that has been burning for 1500 years.

Let's just say he may want to postpone any tours of middle eastern countries for awhile. I think he was right on the money and I am not Catholic. I applaud him for having the guts to stand up and say what more nations leaders should have been saying all along. More need to get behind him and back him up. I realize he was only quoting an old text but it was accurate then and it still holds true today. Look at the things they have done since the speech. They only proved his point.

First, the pope is not excellent. He is just a dude. No better or worse than anyone else. I'm glad he said what he said. I have no problems with truth. So, if those muslims get mad cause they you quote them what they say, then that's on them. Muslims quote the koran to other muslims, and they strap bombs to themselves. You quote the koran to them, and they get mad at you. There is no win with them.

Really? Of course he's in trouble with them, but so is anybody who says the slightest negative thing about bloodthirsty islamic militants. In the end, does it matter? They're not exactly interested in anything he has to say anyway and would love to slay him if given the opportunity, regardless of whether he says anything about them or not.

He's only in trouble with Muslims because most of them are semi-literate and their leaders took his quote out of context and used it to ignite protests and rioting in order to excuse more violence against "infidels."

Yes, and I am very afraid of what might happen if the Muslims bombed The Vatican.

He spoke the truth...you can expect the heathen to hate him...

Jesus said that if you speak the truth they will hate you.

The Pharisees hated Jesus and tried to murder him...an did...
The Muslims are just like the Jewish Pharisees and they will try to murder...

He told the truth and expressed his opinion. Remember white men aren't allowed to voice their opinions because they might offend someone. I am protestant but support his right to tell the truth.
