Who started this idea of illegal alien entitlment. Open borders would destroy this country in a decade..they realize this don't they?

I think it's because they are here illegally and see that the gov. is practically welcoming them, what with free schooling, health care other state aid programs.....you end up with the "I'm entitled to be here" syndrome and the "this land was stolen anyways" Line. Not to mention the outright breaking of Federal laws pertaining to jumping the border OR staying past the expiration date on the visa. How do you expect people that disregard our laws to begin with to be respectful? And you are right open borders would be the ultimate downfall of this country.
And no illegals and co. do not understand what open borders would mean, they live in a fantasy land thinking it would all balance out in the end. LOL I don't see that happening do you?

Forget centuries...just decades ago...there was a difference.
The only answer is strict enforcement of the law and fines on cities that choose to become sanctuary cities and businesses that hire illegals and the illegals themselves need to take responsibility for breaking the law and LEAVE!

The illegal immigrants of today have ignorance and lack of respect. The attributes the immigrants of the past possessed were of gratefulness, respect, the desire to belong to the USA by assimilation, working to achieve success, the DESIRE to learn English, the feeling of being fortunate to have been able to leave their country of oppression and enter the USA legally to have the freedoms we offered. They did not demand anything, they did not expect handouts, they did not disrespect the USA citizens, laws, leaders or flag. They cherished our FLAG. It meant a lot to them.

everyone in the world has a "ME" attitude, with more and more people, that attitude is worse - illegal immigrants are breaking the law and need to be treated as criminals

Good question because we are not just going to hand them our country on a silver platter.Also anyone who flys the Mexican flag should be deported because they are showing they are not wanting to be citizens.

They are ILLEGAL immigrants, and yes they are very demanding and aggressive, and disrespectful, etc. etc, etc, send them back home.

You are right, unfortunately we have weak, spineless politicians who are so afraid of offending someone that they allow the laws of our land to be broken and not only that, they reward those who do so. It just makes me sick to see.

well, you must understand that the last 'invasion' of immigrants that you had came from europe. their ideas of the american dream was making a decent income. your new immigrants' idea of the 'american dream' (i wanna laugh) is to get rich, fast. that's why so many drug dealers are mexican.
