I would have taken my stuff immediately or set a time when I would pick it up.
I think he is playing with your head by leaving his stuff there. You can have a mutual friend get his stuff or call him and set a time when he should pick up his things. Have some friends over for moral support if you do not trust him should he decide to come back for his stuff.
Good luck.

In two break-up's I had, I got my things within about a week. If it's been two weeks, I would call him and let him know you would appreciate it if he would come and get his things. If he does not, send him a certified letter and give him a date (I would say two weeks) and then carry his things to the Salvation Army or the Rescue Mission (or if you know a relative of his that would take them). No need to hold grudges (or start grudges that last a long time). And, no sense to throw away good stuff when needy people can use them!

Depends on what the stuff is. If I didn't truly need it, I might not ever come get it.
If you don't want it around, you can either throw it away, or put it in a box, and drop it off at his place. When he tries small talk with you when you drop it off, just say, "I'm on my way to pick up my friend, sorry have to go..." and just get out of there quick.

I think the fact that he is hemming and hawing about picking it up means that he wants to have that tie to you and is unsure of the decision to break-up in the first place.
If you do not want him back, I would put everything in a box and ask him to call ahead before coming by, so you can set it outside for him to get.
If you do want him back, tell him that his things make you think of him, which isn't fair after the break-up. This will begin a conversation about better times perhaps.

I am not a guy but I would tell a week is more than long enough and to come get it or the garbage man can have it all. By him not picking it up it is giving him a reason to just stop in whenever and check up on you. Just one more game;.

Well, if you had a bad break up, I would think he would want his stuff back immediately. If it wasn't bad and you two are still on good terms maybe he's hoping you two will get back together. If he waits much longer, I'd try to contact him. If not, I'd throw it out.
Good luck.

You should get the stuff as soon as possible. If he doesn't come within two weeks, call him and tell him that you are going to throw it away unless he comes immediately.

Tell him to retrieve his stuff on a certain day and put them in boxes outside the house. Notify him if he fails to retrieve them before that time, they will be disposed of.

call him and tell him he has 3 days to pick them up or else they're yours to do what you will with them (keep or trash)
3 days so he has a little bit of time if he's busy - no need to be mean.
After three days dont give him them
