You are really kind of strange ;)

Isn't it easier to CALL yakult to ask them?

Just call 100 for their number! :)

Check that your preferred date of visit doesn't clash with any school calendar of events. Sometimes, the HODs might have already have plans for your kids during the after-school exam activities.

Write a letter/email to the yakult factory, addressed to the public relations officer or operations manager, requesting for a visit. Provide details about the headcount and average age of visitors and the preferred date(s) of visit. (If you are sending by snail mail, make sure you use the school letterheaded paper and seek approval and signature from the principal)

When the yakult personnel approves, inform your principal or HOD that you have gotten permission to visit the yakult factory. Make sure you check with yakult for any conditions. Example: No cameras are allowed within the factory premise..etc.

Arrange for the transportation, get your school's regular bus company. Speak to your AM about booking the transportation because she uses the school budget for transportation costs. I don't think you can tap into the Edusave funds because MOE stipulates that the Edusave can only be used for enrichment classes or reading materials.

Issue consent forms to the students involved in the visit. The same crap follows (chasing after kids for their parents' acknowledgement slips).

Assemble your kids in the classroom or school hall before the trip and remind them of appropriate behaviour. (This is just to cover half of your own *** in case one of your 'monkeys' screws things up on the day of the visit...which happens pretty often)

Do head count before and after the trip....one of the kids might decide to stay on for life in the yakult factory...better to double check.

The whole process will take at least 2 to 3 weeks...so do it quick....don't wait till last minute because it affects your professional image.

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR OWN CAMERA....SHOWS EVIDENCE OF YOUR HARDWORK! You don't have to take pics inside the factory....just on the bus or outside the factory.

REMEMBER TO UPLOAD YOUR PICS AND SUBMIT TO YOUR PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE SO EVERYONE IN THE SCHOOL KNOWS YOU'VE DONE A GOOD JOB!

AND DON'T FORGET TO INPUT YOUR EFFORT INTO YOUR STUPID-COMPLETE-WASTE-OF-TIME-AND-PAPER annual WORK REVIEW!
